"(Y/n) I'm heading into work." Your mother said, walking past your door only to receive no response. "(Y/n)?" She said a bit more skeptically. Walking back, she opened the door to your room only to see it completely empty.

"(Y/n)?"

She grew more concerned as she looked around. Your mom had received your note once she woke up, but usually you would have been back in your room...especially for the last day of finals. It was later in the afternoon now, almost time for everyone to get out of school.

As the idea of you being at school came upon her, she jogged down the stairs and looked into the garage but  saw your car still in it's spot.

A pit formed in her stomach as she quickly discarded her work jacket and grabbed her keys, hopping into her own car and driving down the street. Her fingers nervously tapped the wheel as she glanced at the people passing by and headed straight to the police station.

"Hopper!" She called, getting stopped by the receptionist. "Hopper!" She shouted once more, shaking off the woman as the Chief came out of his office and into her view. "Ms. (L/n), how can I help you?" Your mother approached him as he waved her into his office before shutting his door. "(Y/n) is gone. She left last night and I don't think she came back. Her room is still the exact same and her car is in the garage!"

The males brows furrowed together as he looked her over. "Are you sure? Maybe Hargrove picked her up and will bring her home." Your mother nervously wrung her hands, trying to calm herself down. "I just have this horrible feeling...I don't know what to do."

"Let's go ask the kids, they probably know where she is...okay?"

At your mothers small nod, Hopper could help but get an eerily similar feeling to when Will went missing. Shaking off his disturbing thoughts, he drove your mother down to the school and parked just down the street.

"She's probably just getting out of class." He soothed, trying to ease her mind in the slightest as they got out of the car. Your mother said nothing and closed the door, letting her eyes surf over the sea of children until she spotted the group. Everyone was there except Billy, just standing and chatting about their last finals.

Steve's eyes widened at the sight of your mom, lips sealing when Hopper immediately appeared behind her. "Guys..." He notified, allowing everyone to follow his gaze up to your mother as she approached. "Hopper?" Mike muttered, the boys glancing between each other at the flicker of worry in his eyes.

"Have any of you kids seen (Y/n) today?"

They all shook their heads, looking between each other and starting to feel their heart beats slow as they realized the implications of that question. "Hopper..." Your mother whimpered, quickly turning to him as tears started to form in her eyes. "...she would NEVER just leave! My little girl would never just vanish!"

The kids eyes went wide as they looked at the tall male who was trying to calm your mom down. "I don't doubt that. (Y/n) has never been impulsive or rebellious...maybe Hargrove has seen her."

"Wait, (Y/n) is gone?" Will questioned, taking a small step forward in disbelief. "We don't know that yet...." Hopper reiterated, trying to keep your mother calm as she started to panic. "We need to ask Hargrove if-"

"Ask me what?"

They all turned to see the blonde in all his glory. A cigarette hung from his lips as a distraught look came to his face upon seeing your mother and the police Chief at the school. She quickly approached him, hands shaking as she grabbed onto the leather sleeves of his jacket. "My girl! Please tell me you know where she is!"
