You rubbed your eyes with the palm of your heels as you tried to blink away the burn behind your lids. Luna lay asleep beside you in her make-shift bassinet - the first time she had been silent for the past 24 hours.

She was hitting a first phase of sorts, it was almost like she could sense when you and Billy weren't around her at the same time - causing her to whine and scream until 4am when Billy got back from work.

Then, once he was home, she cried and screamed for two more hours because she was tired and hungry but was helpless to solve either of those issues on her own.

You had to calm her down by going for a drive with a very tired Billy in tow who insisted on coming - holding his little girl in his arms in the passenger seat as the rumble of the engine almost lulled you all to sleep.

It relaxed her enough to feed her, the small bundle falling asleep halfway through feeding and taking in deep, tired breaths against you as you attempted to burp her without her waking.

Thankfully, you were finally in bed....at 7am.

Yet, you still had a commitment to work. Taking the sleeping baby with you as you headed to the library, thanking whatever god was up there that she stayed asleep when you parted from her father's side.

"Excuse me, could I get help finding some books?"

Your weary eyes shot open, heading craning up to stare at the college boy in front of you who wore a nervous smile. You knew you looked like a zombie - and were extremely grateful he didn't say anything.

"Of course!" You smiled, trying not to seem so weary as you stood before quickly looking down to make sure Luna was still asleep.

Whispering, you motioned for the older woman who was sat at her desk. "Elanor, could you please watch her?" She nodded with a small smile, standing up before taking your spot as you did one more glance over your baby before addressing the young man.

"What books are you looking for?"

He chuckled, "Ah, some stuff for my college classes. Ya know...the professors are actually making us get these now." Handing you a list on some crumpled notebook paper, you couldn't help but smile at the books he had crossed out then re-wrote - seemingly realizing he'd need them.

"You aren't the first and I am sure you won't be the last." You assured, leading him to the first section filled with the bio-chem texts.

"I appreciate your help."

You glanced at him with a small smile before returning your eyes to the shelves and scanning the spines for the correct name. "No problem! It is my job after all."

There was a breath of silence as you grabbed the first two books, handing them to him before heading off to find a Mythology book...those Liberal Arts credits are a pain in the ass to fill.

Guess that was the most interesting option.

Looking at the large selection of myths and fiction stories, you huffed and grabbed a stool - scanning the upper shelves for the title.

"Is, uh, is she yours?"

"Hm?" You only hummed as you continued your search.

"Oh! The baby." He clarified, watching you clap as you found it and stood on your toes to grab the book. Stepping down from the stool, you smiled warmly - nearly glowing at the mention of your little girl.

"Yes, she is."

He returned your expression, "She is adorable."

"Thank you." You said proudly, walking to the next area.
