"I missed you, kid." Jack said as he pulled Natalie in. "I missed you too Jack." she replied. They hadn't seen each other in a month. Jack looked somehow taller and his hair was lighter. Natalie came to visit him again. She didn't plan to do so, but Jack extended an invitation to her again. Once they were inside Jack pulled her again, this time for a kiss. A hungry kiss. He'd missed seeing her face and she missed playing with his hair. "I really missed you kid." he chuckled. Something about Jack always made Natalie blush and feel butterflies. No one else did this to her. But she liked it.
"So what's been going on?" she asked. "Oh, not much. Work, work, and more work." he replied. "How is your back?" she asked and bit her cheek. "Better..." he said unconvincingly, "But my mother keeps nagging me to visit a doctor."
"I agree with her." Natalie said, "You need to take care of yourself Jack." This time Jack blushed at her concern for him. "I will. After the wedding." he replied.
"So are you nervous?" Natalie asked. "A little..." Jack replied. With the wedding approaching in just 4 days, they were both nervous than they would admit. "How about you kid?" he asked. "A little..." she said and giggled.
There sweet moment was interrupted by a call. It was Jack's father calling with more questions and concerns about the wedding.
"That father of mine is going to have a ball with this wedding. I don't think he was even this excited about his own wedding!" Jack said. Natalie couldn't help but laugh. "He's just excited!" she said. "Mm hm." Jack replied sarcastically, "He's excited to show off his son."
"Well he's proud of you Jack!" she replied. "No. He's proud that I'm his son. There's a difference." Jack said. Natalie didn't know how to reply.
They spent the next few days resting and having fun, until Natalie had to go back home. For the wedding.
