A/N: sorry this is late and short I had my AP English test today 🥲

• Killua, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio are all just surrogates of love for each other.
- Kurapika sees Gon as Pairo, and Killua and Gon as him and Pairo
- Killua sees Kurapika and Leorio as his siblings, and places all his unused love for his abusive siblings in them. And somewhat as parental figures but not really
- Leorio sees Gon as Peitro. It's also why he worked so hard to save him and was so emotional when he was okay
- Gon sees Leorio (and kinda Kurapika) as parental figures, but Leorio in specific

• Gon gets overstimulated a lot and has difficulty focusing and interacting with people, gets really irritable when people make any noises or talk to him, gets really anxious/stressed/restless, and just feels overwhelmed and doesn't know how to stop it (me too homie it's okay)

• Leorio is always busy taking care of others and has a really hard time taking care of himself or prioritizing himself. Especially after he becomes a zodiac member AND doctor/med student. He feels taking care of himself is a waste of time that he could be using to study, help his patients, or do important zodiac work (idk what they do lmao)

• Killua doesn't like sleeping because he has really bad nightmares, mostly about killing his loved ones (Gon and Alluka in specific). Since he has the ability to go 2-3 days without sleep, he does so, and only sleeps when absolutely necessary

• I think part of the reason Killua gets so flustered when being complimented (apart from his gay panic), is because the only other time he's been complimented is by his parents, his mom in specific. They were never genuine, real compliments, just insincere flattery used for manipulation and toying. So when he's genuinely complimented with no ulterior motives, he genuinely doesn't know how to handle it. (I might be reading way too much into this but this does happen to people a lot, or they end up hating compliments and immediately distrusting the person who complimented them)

• You guys- this came to me yesterday when making my mother's had HCs but uh- can you just imagine what Gon is gonna go through when Mito dies. Like, we saw how he reacted to Kite and stuff and he didn't even know him that well. But with Mito, the woman who raised him and taught him and loved him, he's gonna go off the fucking rails when he loses her
