Complicated Love

Ch.19: Introducing Mallorie

He came in and grabbed me by the throat and I took steps back until I tripped onto the couch. I managed a little scream, but it wasn't very loud.

"Get...........off!" I managed to choke out. He let me go and went outside and appeared in the doorway with my dad. He was holding a gun to his head. I was terrified. I couldn't lose my dad. The person removed their mask.

"Derek?" I said aloud.

"Hey baby miss me?" He said

"Let go of my dad you bastard." I yelled.

"Why so fiesty?" He said pulling my dad inside still holding the gun to his head.

I tried to pull my dad out Derek's grip. He just pushed me on the floor. I got back up and stared at Derek. Anger rose inside me. I hit Derek in the face, grabbed my dad from him, and took his gun. I pointed Dereks gun at Derek. He just looked at me. I looked at Derek. He was holding his cheek. I took all the bullets out the gun. I searched him for more. He had plenty. I took them all off him. I grabbed him by his wrist and dragged him outside. I told my dad I would take him home. I went upstairs and told Eithan. I walked back downstairs grabbed my keys. My dad got in my car and we drove to his hotel. He told me bye and thanks and I drove back home.

When I walked through the door the house phone rang. I walked to the kitchen and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Yes may I speak to Angela Thomas?"

"Speaking."

"Umm yes I was just calling to tell you that you got the job at the investigtion office. You start tomorrow. Be there at 8:30 no later. You work from 8:30 to 4:30. Also before 6:00 tonight I need you to drop by and pick up your office keys."

"Thank you so much I really appriciate it."

"Your welcome sweety I'll see you later."

"Okay thanks."

She hung up. I ran upstairs screaming at the top if my lungs. I hugged Eithan. He was just as suprised as I was.

"What's up why are you screaming at the top if your lungs."

"I got the job at the at the investigation office."

"Congrats!" He yelled giving me a kiss.

I kissed him back and then parted.

"I have to be at the office in an hour." I yelled.

I ran to my closet and pulled out my black and white dress with my black tights and my black UGGS. I slipped them on then ran downstairs. Eithan followed.

"Can I come?" Eithan asked.

"I don't care just come on."

He followed me out the door and to my car. I had 20 minutes now. It took me 3 Minutes on the phone, 10 minutes to get dressed, and a ten minute make out session. That was my fault.

I turned the corner and pulled into the office parking lot. I found a park and got out the car. Eithan got out to. We walked into the buiding and went to the front desk. I told her what I was there for.

"I'm Angela Thomas and I'm here to pick up my keys for my office."

"Go to the top floor all the way to the back and her office is there. Make sure you knock before entering."

"Ok thanks." I said.

I got in the elevator and pressed floor 8. The elavtor stopped and me and Eithan got out. I told him to stand outside the door. I knocked and heard a 'come in'.
