I quickly rush to leave the area. After getting far enough so that the noise doesn't drown the call.
"Hey, Ahri. Need me for something?"
"I assume you are already out. We were looking for you but kinda forgot this is the night you usually disappear on us."
I furrow my brow, "Shit. I forgot about today... I can come back and-"
She stops me, "No need. We are about to leave anyway so if you are done there you can come to meet at the usual spot because we should be out a little later than usual."
"Sorry-"
"I said it's fine," she giggles over the call, "Besides from what I heard from Evelynn it sounds like you should be busy yourself."
"I guess. I kind of don't know what I plan on doing - my head is a mess."
"I can only imagine."
I then shift on my feet, "Can I ask for your advice?"
"Sure. Though I can already tell what it is about."
I chuckle, "That obvious huh?"
"Well... let us say that you aren't really subtle when it comes down to it. How very uncharacteristic for a ninja huh?" she laughs at her own joke, "But honestly I can't tell you that it is something easy to achieve. It really depends on how you both feel about it - on the other hand, you can't just ask because it can end even before it was given chance to grow."
"I know but... am I taking this too fast? Am I too ambitious?"
"No time like the present, hon. I get that it is frustrating now but it might just turn out a way you didn't expect at all."
"Like ultimately failing in my face?"
"Way to keep the positivity going. Listen, Akali, instead of thinking about you can just give it a try? Reality often differs from what we expect from a situation. Is it because of your past? Or because the unknown factor is relying on him?"
"I don't know."
"Ehh... you aren't making it any easier for me to help you," she sighs, "How about throw thinking about it out of the window and just act out of pure instinct. If the situation calls for it or leads into it then let it happen."
"Yeah, I just have to get my head on right. Thanks for the talk-"
"Enjoy your night, Akali."
*** Normal POV ***
I don't know anymore. I wish there was someone that could tell me how I really feel - because one moment I find her so annoying and now... now more often than I imagined I actually genuinely enjoy her company.
Even now, as she is all the way over there rapping her heart out I feel nothing but admiration in place of my hatred.
How does that work? How do you just go from hatred to this?! It doesn't make sense, it will never make sense to me. I can just imagine what she would say if i walked up to her and attempted communicating these feelings.
