"I would have taken you to the amusement park across the city but the problem is it is across the city," she then smiles at me widely, "and I think you have had enough with people interrupting every single thing we are doing."
I then gesture to behind me, "That and walking around with you is also grabbing a lot of attention."
She brings her hand to her chin, "We are already pretty far into our day together - we can go ahead and grab something to eat. The chances of anyone bothering us are... well not as much if we are in a more social environment."
I then arch my brow, "Restaurants are not a social environment?"
She rolls her eyes, "Not as much as the rest. We have less chance of anyone bothering us," she winks at me, saying in a whisper, "And I am dying to actually spend some time with you without the fear of getting interrupted."
"At least we both feel the same way," she then pouts at me, "What?"
Shaking her head, "Nothing. Too late," she then spins around, "I know a place where we can enjoy ourselves where the food is good. The four of us usually eat there considering that the price range is meant for richer people and it helps to keep the masses at bay."
I then laugh, "Now that is a niche problem."
"More than you think," she then pulls me to her side as we walk towards our new destination, "So... I have been meaning to ask."
My heart altogether sinks and rises to my throat, beating in the anticipation of asking a question I am dying to answer and hoping that it isn't something I would rather avoid.
"How are you feeling?" her tone soft, her eyes locked onto mine, "It has been... quite the experience and I have noticed that I am just brute-forcing everything. Well..."
I look around us and then tug her hand for her to stop, "Akali," she turns to me with a furrowed brow. I grab her waist pulling her into my embrace, "If you are worried that I might just be going along with you... don't."
"I'm sorry," she whispers, "I don't want to say I don't believe you but... but my own thoughts are killing me. I just need someone to tell me that-"
I silence her with a long and soft kiss. She quickly wraps her arms around my neck to pull me closer. Breaking away, her head follows mine as if she was begging for more.
"I haven't felt this wanted in a very long time, and it makes me even happier knowing that is you, okay?"
She nods, "Okay..." her tone was brittle, she sniffles a bit before pulling away, "Sorry... thanks for helping me get that one out of my system."
I joke, "I guess talking really just helps with everything."
She giggles, "I guess yeah," as our eyes are locked onto each other... I was killing myself.
Killing myself trying to decide what I should do - shredding my heart to pieces as I was fighting myself on whether or not to tell her. I couldn't keep this from her anymore... I just didn't want to anymore.
I swallow my fear and pride for the briefest of moments.
"Akali... can I talk to you about something?"
She notices my expression, "Can it wait for a bit?" she lowers her head into my gaze.
"I..."
She shakes her head, "Come... it won't belong."
Following her in silence, it was evident that it was on her mind. At least I could tell it was. We walk for a few blocks before we reached a park. There were plenty of benches around and that this time there weren't many people around either.
