I can only describe last night as one of those 'this should never have happened moments'.
Spending at least a few minutes of my morning thinking of what the possible outcome could be when we cross each other today. As of now, I managed only to come up with 'awkward conversation that leads to a painful silence which we both brush off with a laugh'.
Then there is 'So do we just forget what was said and move one completely? Because honestly, I don't even know why I said what I said.'
Or the most likely outcome 'just ignore that it happened in the first place'. I am really hoping for the latter.
Considering that I am already awake I should just get up and see if anyone is awake this early, the earlier I start with what other plans they may or may not have the quicker I can get out of their hair.
After cleaning myself up I head out to roam the house until I stumble onto someone. Out of the four, the one I'd rather find has to be Akali despite the fact of what happened last night - she is more likely to leave what happened in the air.
The others however I have no experience with and no idea what they may or may not ask. Out of the three, the worst is probably-
"Goodmorning," I am greeted with a smirk almost hidden behind a cup.
"Morning," I answer promptly - it had to be Evelynn.
She then gestures with her head as she holds her cup close to her, "The water is boiled if you fancy a cup of something. I imagine you are the type that needs the boost in the morning."
I shake my head, "No. I usually wake up this early with plenty of energy."
She tilts her head, raising her gaze to the ceiling, "Hmm? Maybe I am mistaking you for a coffee addict," she then shakes her head, "Nevermind that. You mind spending talking for a few? There aren't many people that wake this early."
I give a slow nod, "Sure," then proceed to enter the kitchen and taking up the offer of getting something warm to drink.
She then gestures to one of the cabinets above the kettle, "Cups are in there. Everything else is around the kettle."
"Thank you," I proceed to make myself something as I await her wrath.
"Are you from her past?" she starts off strong, "I guess I already know the answer from Akali but it helps to make sure from the source of her problems."
"Source of her problems?" I narrow my eyes.
"Oh yeah. She tends to complain a lot and I just happen to be a very good listener," I glance over my shoulder to see her narrowed eyes.
"I guess it isn't far from the truth. The two of us never got along until recently," I return my gaze to my cup, "Knowing her she probably had a lot of things to say. Why is he here? Is her just chasing after me again? God, he is so annoying."
"Pretty accurate."
I then admit, "Only because I share the same mindset. It isn't hard to tell what she is thinking when it comes to me but to come back to your question. Yes. I am from a super-secret ninja academy so caught up in traditions and themselves they don't really know they're killing their children."
"Coming from experience?"
"Plenty of it. Though I guess I am really the only one that experienced it."
"Because you were her rival or was it for a different reason entirely?"
I narrow my eyes, "I-"
She continues, "Has it ever occurred to you that maybe you were only used to make her stronger? That they knew your potential and that you could have been the catalyst into making her the best there is by forcing you to compete against each other."
