"I'm not wearing this," I said looking in the mirror, Athena walked behind me pulling down the small skirt, "it's not that bad," she said

I kept trying to button up the white shirt, it kept popping open at the top which made me frustrated, to say the least, "Aesira it's temporary" she reminded me for the millionth time, I pushed the black skirt down even tho it made no difference

"Let's just get this over with," I said walking out, one thing I refused to wear was heels, I was already tall and wearing heels would make me a whole giant, Athena, on the other hand, loved heels, when we were growing up she'd always wear our mother's heels

Today was her first time wearing some in a while so she was clinking them everywhere loudly as she walked around the room, I felt happy she was enjoying herself though

I sat on the couch slipping on some flats, the room was more of an apartment, I don't know if I'm just not used to these type of things but it was huge, this room was more than enough for just the two of us let alone if we had our own

"We're supposed to be down soon," Athena said

"When?" I asked her standing up, she grabbed her phone checking the time and her eyes widened "five minutes ago" she said slipping it into the waistband of her skirt, my eyes widened and I followed her out of the room as fast as I could

"Late on our first day, god" she mumbled almost tripping, now isn't the time to laugh Aesira. I clicked the button to the elevator and started shaking my foot up and down

It opened revealing two people, men and women, his hands were around her waist casually

I walked in with Athena, he let go of the women and moved his arm around me, I was about to click the button when his hand was placed already in them, "what floor?" He asked, I took steps towards the right beside Athena

"Main," I said, he clicked the button and moved back to his original spot, I could feel both of their eyes on us, I looked at Athena to see her staring at me already, she laced her fingers in mine easing both of our nerves

The door opened and we didn't waste any time walking out, we made ways into the casino which was the entire main floor

"Aesira and Athena?" A girl said scaring us both, I gripped her hand tighter, "yes?" I said, she had long raven black hair and eyes that looked almost black

"Hi, I'm supposed to show both of you around and basically what your job is," she said already walking away

She turned back around looking at us "well let's go" she commanded leading us through the casino, we stopped at an empty table

"This is a Baccarat and you'll be standing right about here" she placed her hands on Athena's waist putting her in the middle of the round table, I watched in amusement as she became all flustered

"And it isn't a crime to show off a little" the girl moved in front of the unbuttoning two buttons, Athenas breath hitched

"Ok so what do the two of you know about gambling" the girl moved around to the stools and sat down

"About...nothing," I said nodding my head, she sighed loudly "this is going to be harder than expected"

I honestly don't know how much time had gone by but I started to get a hang of it, I sat on the stool as Athena tried to understand the game

The girl told us her name was April which I liked, she shared that it had nothing to do with the month she was born which I enjoyed more
