Aesira

I stared at the dark ceiling in quiet my eyes drowsy but refusing to fall. I kept tossing and turning the whole night not able to fall asleep, I sat up on the bed sighing, I looked around the darkroom

I touched my feet to the cold floor and went to put on some slippers, I threw on a hoodie grabbing a small blanket and walked out of my room, I passed Athena's room quietly and made ways to the Balcony, I opened it and took a few steps out

I sat down on the long chair that was placed on the side, and brought my knees to my chest, I laid my chin in the middle of my knee caps looking up at the sky

I can't believe I lost my mother's necklace, she'd be so disappointed in me...

Athena still had her ring so I guess we still had something that was hers...

"I miss you" I whispered letting a tear fall down my cold cheek, I immediately wiped it off with the sleeve of my hoodie "don't cry," I told myself "crying is for the weak," I told myself something I've heard my whole life

Crying is for the weak

I laid back on the long chair pulling up the blanket and just staring at the stars. My eyes started falling and before I knew it was fell into a deep slumber

"Aesira" my body shook "Sira!" Coldness hit my body making me shiver. I wrapped my arms around my body while scrunching my face and eyes in the process. Lightness started to shine through my eyelids

"Wake up" someone whispered, I placed a hand over my eyes and squinted them open to see a wide awaken Athena standing before me. "You're up" she sighed sitting on the end of the chair, I curled up my legs making room

"What are you doing out here?" She asked me, I shrugged my shoulders "I couldn't sleep" I mumbled avoiding her gaze, she didn't say anything and we sat in silence

"Let's go inside" she offered me a hand, I slipped my hand Into hers as she helped me get up, she bent over to pick up the blanket she threw off of me.

We walked inside the warm atmosphere invading my body, I sighed in delight and walked over to the couch. "Do you want anything to eat?" She asked me going to make something

"No I'm good" I shook my head while looking at the ground, "ok," she said quietly.

A small knock came from the door, Athena looked back at me confused, I looked at her with the same expression and walked to the door. I opened the door seeing no one in front of me, I look to my right again to see no one then my left, I saw the back of a foot going behind a corner.

I look down at my feet seeing a black box. I picked it up closing the door in the process "who was it" Athena asked me looking over her shoulder.

"No one... just a box" I held up the box so she could see, she put the spoon down from her mixture and turned her whole body

"What's in it," she asked coming my way, I shrugged my shoulder and took the small piece of paper and opened it.

'Blue'

"Who's blue," she asked me, I bit my lip and shrugged my shoulders again. Damon dropped this off...I untied the black ribbon and opens the little box. My heart skipped a beat .

"My necklace," I said under my breath, "oh my god," Athena said happily "whoever dropped this off found your necklace" she smiled widely.

I was still in shock, I looked at the necklace in the box speechless, Athena went to grab it and held it up, "let me put it on" she said already putting it around my neck.

I look at my chest seeing its hand perfectly, "he found it" I said to myself "who" Athena asked me

"Damon," I said without thinking, I could feel her body freeze behind me, "hold up, Damon.. Damon as in our boss Damon" she came in front of me

I moved my gaze from the gold pendant and to her eyes, "yep" I breathed out.

"Not only is it weird he found it. But you also called him Damon instead of the boss, from what I've seen no one calls him that unless they need to share his name, which in this case you could have just said boss—"

"Athena—calm down it's just a name" I rolled my eyes, she dropped her shoulders "it is not just a name Aesira" I turned around before she could continue to talk and walked away, "Aesira where the fuck are you going?!" She yelled

"To my room!" I yelled closing the door, I grabbed my phone immediately and opened it, I went to my messages and typed a 'thank you' to Damon.

Not thirty seconds after I received a message back

Damon
Anything for you.

His response made my stomach flutter, I started at the message for what felt like ever, should I respond? What do I say back tho?

I threw my phone on my bed shrugging, "I don't need to respond" I said to myself. "He won't care" I shook my head over and over.

I need a shower

I quickly got up and went to the bathroom stripping out of the clothes and entering the shower

I stayed for what felt like ever just standing and enjoying the hot water drown my body, I moved my neck side to side stretching it out, my eyes laid closed and my arms subconsciously wrapping around my body

"Aesira!" Athena yelled from outside the door, I groaned and laid my head back the water now falling over my face, "AESIRA" she yelled louder pounding on the door, I lifted my head and rubbed my eye so I could see out of them

I walked out of the shower and grabbed the towel that was hanging wrapping it around my soaked body, I looked at the fogged mirror and drew my hand across of it making more water droplets but now I could see my face

"Are you dead?" Athena yelled, I rolled my eyes and opened the door "what do you need Athena?" I asked her. She smiled sweetly at me

"Get ready," she said and walked away?

I closed the light and door and left the Bathroom, I moved to close my room door so Athena wouldn't interrupt me. I dried my body and slipped on plainclothes I didn't care if they were cute or not

"Aesira!" Athena called again making me roll my eyes "what the hell could you possibly want now-" I opened the door and looked at Athena and Carter staring at me

"Why is he here?" I asked

"He has a name. And he can talk for himself" Carter said, I looked at him and raised a brow hoping he'd explain it, "well I was told by my dear brother to bring you up to our penthouse" Carter told me confused himself

"Really?" I said not believing it "and for..?" I questioned

"Like I should know he just told me to drop you off so you could get in and then leave" he shrugged his shoulder, "want to hang out with some of the staff with me?" Athena asked being polite

"Really?" He said hopefully, she nodded her head "yeah why not" she slipped on some shoes and smiled, he nodded his head "sure" he said trying to keep it cool

"I need to drop Aesira first" I groaned when he said that "oh, I'll come with" she threw on a jacket, "do I have to?" I asked

"He said he'd come to get you if you didn't come," Carter said making me laugh, but his face stayed serious... "you're not joking" I pointed out making him shake his head

"Fuck" I mumbled, "fine let's go, I'm leaving after five minutes..." I said walking out of the door

I'm gonna be alone with him...
