We finally made it to the bridge as the sun started to appear on the horizon. "You stay here and line up the shot, I'll go place the bomb." Raven ordered. "Ok, tell me when to shoot." I replied. She nodded before disappearing down through the trees to get to the bridge, I found a fallen tree and kneeled down by it, resting the gun on it and aiming down the sight. I scanned the tree line on the other side for any grounders but there weren't any thankfully. I saw as Raven slowly made her way to the centre but she seemed to be dragging her feet a little bit. What was she doing? She finally got there but instead of kneeling down slowly I watched as she fell to her knees, she looked weak, as if she could barely hold herself upright. Oh no. She has the virus... She managed to pull out the bomb from the bag and I saw her open the jar of gunpowder before emptying it into the open can. Once she placed the lid back on she flung the bag back on her back and attempted to get to her feet but she failed, instead she toppled over once again. Shit! Without thinking I stood up and ran down the same way she had a few minutes before, I dropped the gun down on the bank before sprinting to her. Just as I got to her side I heard someone call out her name. "Raven!" I looked over and saw both Finn and Jasper stood by the fallen tree I was just at.

"Is the bomb ready?" I asked and received a nod in response. I helped her to her feet and flung her arm around my shoulder to keep her upright, my arm tightly gripping her waist to hold her. As fast as I could go with Raven clinging onto my side we walked to the end of the bridge where we had just come from, I lowered Raven to the bank next to where I had dropped my gun. We were at least 200ft away just like Raven said so I looked over up to where Jasper and Finn were still standing and shouted. "Take the shot Jasper!" I sat down by Raven's side. "Cover your head!" I urged and we both turned away from where the bridge was and covered our heads to the best of our abilities with our arms. One-shot fired but there was no explosion. Then another and another. I looked back across the bridge and saw burning torches from where grounders had appeared in the tree line. "He's not going to do it!" Raven said as she picked up my rifle and shoved it into my hands, she looked me seriously in the eyes as she spoke, "You need to make the shot." I nodded and took the gun from her, I looked down the scope and aimed at the bomb. I heard another shot fire from Jaspers gun. Once I locked the target I let out a steady breath and pulled the trigger. Just as another shot fired from Jasper, my bullet directly hit the can and a huge ball of fire accompanied by a huge bang and a large cloud of smoke engulfed the bridge. All I could do was stare at the shot I just made. "You did it!" I felt Raven's arms wrap around my neck and pull me into a tight hug once again.

Once the smoke cleared we could see the huge gap where the bridge had just been. "Raven!" We both looked up and saw Finn hurrying over. "Are you ok?" He asked her but she clearly wasn't. She looked pale and had blood dripping from her nose. "Don't touch her, you could catch it!" I quickly interjected remembering what Clarke had said about it spreading through contact. Jasper was next to appear. "Did you guys see that! I did it!" He shouted, jumping in delight with a huge grin on his face. I looked over and saw that Raven was about to correct him and tell him that it was me who made the shot but I quickly elbowed her lightly in her side, she looked at me confused and I shook my head. He looked so happy with himself and I didn't want to ruin it for him. Instead, I turned back to Jasper, "Nice shot!" I congratulated him. "We should head back now." Finn said and he leaned down to help Raven. "Stop! You can't touch me in case I give it to you." Raven argued this time. I could tell she really just didn't want Finn to help her so instead I dumped my rifle and her bag with him and told him I would get her back. He tried to argue but eventually accepted Raven didn't need his help.

With her arm wrapped around my shoulder and mine around her waist just like before, we began our trek back to camp. Ahead of us, Jasper was still gloating to Finn. "Thank you," Raven suddenly said, I looked confused at her. "For what?" "For coming with me and for not making me walk with Finn." she replied. "What happened between you two anyway?" I didn't want to intrude but I felt like I needed to understand what was going on. "I've known him my whole life, I risked my life to come down here for him. But when I got here I found out he slept with Clarke..." Woah, I wasn't expecting that. I knew something was going on between Clarke and Finn but I hadn't realised it was that serious. "He could have at least waited ten days to go and screw some other girl. I tried to get over it but every time I see the way he looks at her it hurts." I could hear her get emotional and I squeezed my arm around her waist a little tighter so she knew I was here for her.

When we finally got back to camp the gates opened with a loud cheer, I heard people start to chant Jaspers name and I suddenly felt glad I hadn't told him it wasn't him who made the shot. It felt like a celebration and everyone looked delighted. Clarke, who now looked better and was stood in the middle of camp next to Bellamy who also looked better, she walked over to us. "Get Raven to the dropship, it's starting to clear up and we don't want it to spread again." I did as she said and hauled Raven, who was getting weaker by the minute into the dropship. When we got in there I saw Murphy crouched in the corner helping someone by giving them some water. "Hey, Murphy!" I called him over. "Help me get her onto the hammock!" Together we managed to lift her till she was comfortably placed in the hanging bed. He then turned to me. "I'm glad you are ok Aysel." It had become normal now for him to call me by my first name, it felt special like I trusted him enough to use it. "I'm glad they are letting you help out." I replied.

A few minutes later Clarke came in to check on Raven, she gave her the usual check-up and then said she was going to be fine. Once I saw Finn walking over to us I turned to Raven, she gave me a nod to say she would be ok so I left to the other side of the room to sit next to Murphy whilst they talked it out. As soon as I sat down though I felt my eyes droop with sleep. "You should get some rest. Here lay down." Murphy said as he moved a pillow for me to use, I lowered myself down and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a deep sleep.
