"Lincoln..." Octavia gasped once he came to his senses. okay, that makes more sense now.
Clarke and the brunette woman disappeared down and out of the dropship followed by the rest of the grounders, Finn and Abby. Bellamy began to cut free the grounder as his sister enjoyed the very much aliveness of her very much dead a few minutes ago boyfriend.
The blood, mud and who knows what covered man sat up and took Octavia in his arms. I looked at Bellamy and nodded towards the ladder, he immediately understood what I meant and quickly disappeared with me close behind. When we stepped outside Clarke walked up to us.
"I'm leaving with the commander to discuss the terms of the truce." she explained.
"Do you need us to come with you?"Bellamy asked.
"No. We need to trust them otherwise an alliance would never work." She confirmed before walking away.
I could tell Bellamy was stressed by the way he ran his hand through his hair and paced the ground in front of me.
"She's right you know." I attempted to calm him, "we have to trust them if we want this to work. Besides, if they wanted us dead they would have done it in the dropship."
"I know, I know. something just feels off."

We got back to camp with every eye on us. I could feel my skin crawling from the intense stares, feeling them picking at me in their mind, wanting to know answers about what had gone down. Thankfully since Abby was in charge I managed to slip away whilst all eyes were on her.
I headed straight into the ark and to my room, slipping inside and closing the door behind me, I changed into some comfortable clothes and got into bed. I hadn't realised how tired I was until the walk back. It felt like I was deteriorating from the lack of sleep I was getting. Every time I closed my eyes I would see images of my father or the one-eyed grounder or even me holding a knife to Murphy's throat as he threatened to murder Bellemy. Most nights I just lay awake in bed hoping for even a flicker or sleep.
That didn't happen of course and after a few hours of silently laying there, a quiet knock on the door drew me from my daydream. "Who is it?" Without an answer they entered the room, causing me to turn in my bed to see for myself.
"I swear to god Murphy if you don't leave my room within the next 5 seconds you won't leave this room at all!" I said as I stood to my feet. He didn't make a move to leave.
"Relax, I just came to tell you Clarkes back." He simply stated.
"What did they say?" I questioned as soon as I found Clarke taking to Bellamy.
"We can have our truce if we give Finn over..." She replied, unable to lift her eyes from the ground.
"Okay, so we're going to fight?" I said without hesitation, "Because there is no way we are just going to hand one of our men over."
The energy and morale between the two of them was excruciatingly low.
"You're right, we're not... but I don't know what we are supposed to do either." Clarke quietly mumbled the last part.
"Does Raven know?" I asked. There is no way she's going to ok with this.
"yeah, she's in lockup." Bellamy said.
"What? Why?" How is she in lockup? What could she have possibly done to get in trouble?
"She punched a guy..." Damn, I knew she was feisty but I never thought she would do that.

Several hours later, no progress on a plan had been made. However, the grounders had made progress on us. Two riders by the front gate, made only more intimidating by the chanting coming from the woods.
"Jus drein, Jus daun!" They chanted. "Jus drein, Jus daun!" Over, "Jus drein, Jus daun!" And over again. There has to be something we are missing, I just can't figure out what. Then I thought of it. Not the answer but something that would get me one step closer to it. Lincoln! If anyone knew how to find a loophole it would be him. The good thing for me was that he was right here within these walls, he had been brought back and kept in the medical lab so that Abby could keep a close eye on his recovery. The only problem being that no one other than the doctors, Clarke and Octavia were allowed to see him out of fear that someone would blame him for his people's sins and try to kill him for it.
The perfect distraction came when the familiar face of councillor Kane appeared battered and bruised and the gates. All ark members rushed to see what was going on leaving the medical bay unguarded. Once I was sure the coast was clear I crept round to where the grounder was being kept.
"Lincoln?" I whispered. His eyes were closed so I didn't want to startle him. "Lincoln? My names Aysel May and I ne-"
"I remember you..." He said, voice gravely and husk. His eyes still shut.
"What?" He hadn't even looked at me so how did he remember me.
"I remember your voice... from the dropship," He continued, "That wasn't me in there, but I still remember everything." He didn't sound sad, he sounded void of emotion somehow. As if what happened to him had broken him.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that." I didn't know what else to say and I also knew that an apology meant next to nothing.
"You wanted to talk to me?" He quickly shifted the conversation along.
"um...yeah. I need to know how I can stop this." I nervously began picking at my nails as I waited for him to tell me how to end this war.
He finally looked at me "I already told your chancellor. You can't"
"Please! You have to think. Anything as long as no one gets killed." I begged for him to dig deeper and come up with something. Anything!
He didn't speak for a couple of moments. Until finally, "There may be one way, but it would mean a lot of pain for multiple parties..."
"Hey! You shouldn't be in here!" I heard someone shout as they hurried towards me, instantly I knew it was Burns. She grabbed me by my forearm and practically dragged me away from the man. Lincoln watched as I was taken away and I mounted 'thank you' to him just before he got out of sight. "What the hell were you thinking?" She yelled in my ear.
"You can let go of me now. I'm not going back in there." I explained.
"You are a member of the guard, and as a member of the guard it is even more vital that you follow the rules." She was still dragging me.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!" She didn't listen, instead, she dragged me all the way through the corridors to the lockup. "You can't be serious! I didn't even do anything!"
Burns swiftly unlocked the door and pushed me inside. "It's protocol. I'll send the chancellor in to decide what happens." the head guard explained before quickly leaving.
I turned around to see a completely empty lockup except for Jaha. What was he doing in here? I slowly walked to the corner of the room and slumped down against the wall. Lincoln had told me what would have to happen for me to pull this off. Now I just had to prepare myself. I couldn't tell anyone what I was planning because I knew there was no way anyone would agree to it.
I didn't particularly like Finn, and I defiantly didn't agree with what he did, but I still had my morals to live by. On the Ark, there was no choice but to float anyone who threatened to decrease our time in space. But now, we have no choice but to stick together. We are on new land that so far has had new surprises every step of the way. If we want to survive we need to keep everyone alive. Both for strength and morality. Not only that but we need help. What better for place to get that than from our biggest threat right now.
