The piercing rays of the morning light caused me to squint my eyes. My whole body get numb from the rotting corpse still laying on top of me. In the distance I saw a dark figure shuffling around in the ashes, my my eyes finally adjusted to the light and I realised there was a lone grounder trudging towards the entrance of the dropship.
With lot's of struggling and all the energy I could muster up I heaved myself out from the weight that was caging me to the floor.

Without warning an ear splitting gunshot radiated out from the dropship, when I looked over the grounder had vanished. The camp was empty and it was eerily quiet. I scavenged the floor for my knife, once I found it I gripped on tight and tiptoed to the dropship. I carefully pulled aside the curtain and stepped inside, my eyes quickly locked onto a figure in the corner pointing a gun in my direction. "Woah woah! Don't shoot!" I held my hands up in surrender. They lowered the gun away from their face and I could finally see who it was. "Raven?" I rushed to her side and knelt down. "Are you ok?" I hadn't been able to see her since she was shot and I had been thinking about her constantly, for some reason I was unable to get her out of my mind. "Not really..." she laid the rifle down on the floor and rested back on her elbows. Her whole front was dripping in blood and her face was pale from the lack of it. I scanned the room and saw the newly dead grounder bleeding out on the floor "What happened? Where is everyone?" I asked, desperate for answers. "I was going to ask you the same thing." She grunted in pain. I reached for the bottom fabric of her top and looked at her. "Can I see it?" She nodded. I carefully pulled up the clothing to reveal the wound. It looked as though Clarke must have Cauterised the wound to stop the bleeding, but it didn't look good. Just then I heard footsteps just outside, when I looked briefly at Raven it was clear that she had heard it too. I silently grabbed my knife and tiptoed to the entrance, I had my back against the wall so I would have an advantage when the intruder came in. The curtains were thrown to the side and they stepped inside. Murphy? I jumped behind him and efficiently placed him into a headlock with my knife to his neck, almost identically to how I had done so yesterday. His hands shot into the air infront of his face, they were tied together with a rope, "Please... don't kill me." He had betrayed my trust and my morals so it felt impossible to let him go.

Instead, I drove my knee into the back of his, knocking him off balance and he fell to his knees infront of me. I glanced up at Raven who was aiming her gun right at him. "What do you want Murphy?" I spat in his ear. He hadn't realised it was me behind him and that became clear from his reaction. "Aysel?"
"I said why are you here?" I was pissed and not in the mood for a friendly greeting, but in this moment I wasn't pissed about what he had done to Bellamy, Derrick or even me. He had shot Raven and now she could die because of him. "I don't want anything, the only reason I'm here is because that grounder was left behind to guard me." He explained truthfully.

Raven began to cough in the corner but it quickly escalated and there was blood spluttering out with every cough. I immediately dropped my knife and ran around Murphy, instantly forgetting he could be a threat. Once I was by Raven's side I helped her roll to her side so she wouldn't choke on the blood. "Here..." Murphy offered a handkerchief from his pocket. I took it from his hands and nodded a thank you, I wiped away the excess from around her mouth and then sat down next to her so she could rest her head on my thigh.

Murphy limped over to the wall and slumped down, untying a bandage from his leg. Raven pulled herself up and then leaned into me, now resting her head on my shoulder. "How'd you get to be such a dick Murphy?" She asked staring directly at him. "I'm sorry for shooting you ok, is that what you want me to say?" He replied. That apology didn't mean much though because it wouldn't stop her from bleeding out, or stop the pain she was currently suffering. "Let me guess, your parents didn't love you?" I didn't enjoy this interaction they were having but there was no escaping it and there was a lot to be said.
"No they loved me... enough for my father to steal medicine for me, he got floated and then my mother drunk herself to death, her last words being that I killed them both..."

I could feel Raven grow uncomfortable next to me so I carefully rubbed my hand up and down her back attempting to calm her, she seemed to relax under my touch. Tears of sadness were being shed from Murphy's eyes meanwhile Raven was struggling with her physical pain. I reached down and picked up the gun that she had been holding earlier, I checked the rounds in the chamber but only found 1 bullet left, I hoped I wouldn't have to use it.

Raven's eyes closed and her breathing began to even out, I had to check her pulse just to be sure she was only sleeping. I carefully slipped out from under her head and made sure she was considerably comfortable before  walking across to the entrance and peering out. "Where are you going?" Murphy croaked out. "I'll take first look out." I said coldly. I needed to look out for any sign of life, grounder or delinquent, I just needed answers. "I'm sorry." I heard him mumble towards me. "Don't talk to me." "I didn't mean to hurt you ok, you weren't supposed to be there." I couldn't stop myself from looking at him now. "You think this is about me? You killed a boy Murphy! And you tried to kill one more and in the process of that you shot Raven!" I had to catch myself when my voice began to get too loud, I didn't want to wake Raven as I knew she needed rest if she was going to get through this. "They hung me Aysel! Don't you understand that?" "Oh I understand that, I cut you down remember? But what I don't understand is why you think it's ok to do the same thing. It makes you just as bad if not worse than they are!" "Seriously?" He questioned. "Just don't talk to me ok! I don't want anything to do with you from now on." I stated then turned back and peered through the curtain.

Just then I saw someone move by the fallen gate of the camp. I aimed my gun up ready to use the single bullet. "Someone's here." I whispered. That was when they walked around the corner, two councilmen from the ark followed by several guards. I stepped into sight with my gun in the air so they knew I wasn't a threat. "Doctor Griffin?" I recognised the female council woman. Then I thought of Raven. "Please come quick! Raven's dying!" I ushered her inside without even a greeting.

"Raven? Raven it's me Abby!" She said kneeling down next to the girl. Raven's eyes opened slowly and she barely even acknowledged the woman. "Clarke's not here... I don't know where she is." Is the first thing she said. Abby paused to process that information, her daughter was missing and could be dead. "What happened to you?" She finally asked and I saw Raven raise her head to look at Murphy, then she looked at me in a telling way. "I got shot." She didn't snitch on Murphy? Why wouldn't she tell them about him? I was going to speak up but she was still looking at me and I could tell she was desperate for me to keep quiet, so I did.

"We need a stretcher!" Abby called out to the guards and they quickly brought one over. Raven was carefully lifted and placed onto it. "Is there anyone else here?" Abby turned to me "No... they are all gone." I said. The guards quickly filed out, one helping the limping Murphy and two carrying the stretcher. Abby then walked out and I followed a few steps behind her. When I steeped out I saw two people I wasn't expecting to. "Aysel?" Bellamy sounded surprised to see me too, Finn was too busy paying attention to his dying ex-girlfriend to notice me. I then noticed Murphy on the ground and Bellamy was currently being handcuffed. "What the hell? Why is he handcuffed?" I questioned councillor Kane. "He assaulted your friend Murphy here." He pointed with his head towards the boy who was now getting helped to his feet by a guard. "You don't understand! He killed a guy and hung Bellamy!" Finn argued. "I don't care, you are not animals, there are laws!" Kane turned to face Bellamy now. "You are not in charge anymore!" I was expecting Bellamy to counter that but he stayed quiet. "Oh and you can hand over that gun now, it's not a toy!" He ordered me, "oh trust me, both me and the grounders both know that." I mumbled earning a warning look from the councillor. It's not like I had any bullets anyway so I didn't hesitate to hand it over.

Abby got busy writing a note for Clarke out of chalk on the outer wall of the dropship. I saw Finn and Bellamy both sat down at the entrance but I couldn't bring myself to leave Raven's side. Finn kept glancing over and he had his signature 'I have a plan' face on.
As soon as Abby was done with her note, we set off for Alpha station, which was the part of the ark that we saw come down yesterday and also where Abby, Kane and the guards came from.

We walked for miles but eventually we arrived. There were Arkadians everywhere, people I recognised and people I had never seen before, but I didn't have time to admire it because I was too distracted by Raven who was immediately taken to the medical tent that had been set up for surgery.
