We walked for nearly a day before we faced the gates of The Ark once more. We slowly edged out of the tree line with our hands in the air. The gates screeched open as we got closer and we were able to walk inside, our guns immediately stripped from us. Abby was the first to arrive next to us and after a brief rundown, she took both Mel and Monroe to medical. A blond girl began running towards us, Clarke? She embraced Bellamy in a tight hug before briefly giving both me and Octavia one too. As I was released from the hug I opened my eyes and saw a limping Raven just as she made it over to us. I hadn't seen her since she went into surgery and from what I could see it went well. She came over and gave me a tight hug before letting go and looking behind me. "Where's Finn?" Clarke asked and I could tell that was also who Raven was searching for. "Looking for you..." Bellamy answered and both the girl's face's dropped into a frown.

Both Bellamy and Clarke left off towards the Ark together and Octavia also disappeared off somewhere so Raven and I were left alone together. She looked both upset and worried, "Hey Raven, He's going to be fine ok?" I placed my hand on her forearm so she would look at me. I could see an unshed tear form in her eye so I pulled her into another tight embrace. "He has weapons and he's with Murphy..." I felt her nod against my neck. We broke apart and then Raven began to lead the way to where her workstation was. "How's your leg?" I asked having noticed the brace that was strapped around it. "They got the bullet out but Abby says I have severe nerve damage..." Wow, that was not what I expected. "You will get through this, your strong!" I said squeezing her arm lightly. "I know, I'm just awesome like that!" She replied with a smile and I couldn't help the smile that reached my lips. We made it to the workroom just as another man was leaving, "Off the job so soon Wick?" Raven asked as we passed him, "Just taking my lunch break!" Wick replied with a laugh. Raven walked through the door and I followed slightly behind. "What are you even working on?" "I'm trying to send out a signal to the other Ark stations so they know we are here." She answered whilst immediately busying herself with her work. "Can I help?" she spun on her chair to face me. "I think this is a bit complicated for a beginner, but you can start making bullets if you want?" she suggested and I nodded. I remembered from the first few days she was down here and she had taught me how to do it so I set up a workstation on the L shaped desk so my back was to her.

We worked in comfortable silence before I spoke up. "Why are you working anyway? shouldn't you be resting after surgery?" I turned to look at her but she didn't even look at me when she answered. "I'm fine." I saw her reach for a screwdriver and grabbed it before she could, that got her attention because she then looked directly at me with daggers in her eyes. "Give me that!" She said reaching for it but I moved before she could get it. I stood up and looked down at her mockingly. "You should rest Raven!" I said and that only annoyed her more and she stood up now too. She stepped forward and reached for the screwdriver once more but I stepped back, this happened two more times before I felt my back hit against the desk. She saw this as an opportunity and stepped even closer, I had to stand on my tiptoes so that she couldn't reach it. Her face was now only a few inches away from mine and I could feel her warm breath blanket my face. I couldn't take my eyes off her brown ones which were focusing on my hand still, but soon she looked down and saw me staring, but she didn't break the eye contact. The same strange feeling formed in the pit of my stomach just like it did several days ago. I noticed her eyes drift down to my lips and I felt my breath hitch in my throat. I couldn't help but let my eyes drift down to her lips aswell.

I hadn't noticed our faces inching closer until we were interrupted by a loud knock from the other side of the door, Raven quickly stepped back and headed for the door, I turned around to face my desk once more and placed down the screwdriver. I could feel my cheeks burning a bright red and I didn't want whoever was knocking to see. I heard Raven clear her throat before opening the door. "Is Asyel in here?" I heard Bellamy ask and I turned around as innocently as I could to try and hide the fact that just happened or nearly happened... "What's up?" I asked. I couldn't help but glance at Raven who was staring down at her feet. "Octavia, Clarke and I are going to find Finn and Murphy, you coming?" He asked. "Um, yeah I'll be there in a second." I turned back to finish the bullet I had been working on previously. "Ok good, Raven do you think you can get the fence turned off?" "Yeah, I can do that for you." She answered. I finished the bullet and chucked it into the box before walking over to the door. "Ready?" I asked Bellamy and he nodded. I felt a new tension between me and Raven and I couldn't bring myself to look at her so I walked out and made my way outside with the other two close behind me.

After another ten minutes passed all of us were stood hidden away by the electric fence. Bellamy handed Octavia her backpack and then she headed for the fence. "Not so fast Pocahontas!" Raven stopped her, she then grabbed a stick off the ground and carefully tapped the wire with it, a bright spark of electricity exploded from it and left us all in awe. She next lifted the walkie talkie to her mouth, "Shut her down Wick." a few seconds of silence and then two buzzes came through the radio signalling it was safe. Octavia climbed through followed by Bellamy and Clarke and just as I was about to do the same I felt a hand grab my wrist, I turned around to look at Raven, "Be safe..." That was all she said before letting go of me. I nodded and then left through the fence aswell.

We walked until the sun went down and we set up camp for the night, Bellamy took first watch whilst the rest of us slept. I couldn't sleep for long though as I felt exposed in the woods with no walls surrounding us. Apparently, Octavia had the same issue as me because she stood up and gathered her things. "I think we've had enough rest..." and with that, we were off again. We walked in peaceful silence for another few hours until just through the trees I saw movement. "Wait!" I whisper-shouted whilst aiming in with my gun towards the trees. Just then I saw a head poke out quickly followed by what looked like a bow and arrow, and it was pointed directly at us. "Get down!" I exclaimed as I jumped behind a tree, the arrow narrowly missing my head. I peeked around the tree just in time to see the grounder disappear behind a bush. "How many can you see?" Clarke asked. "Only one!" Bellamy replied. I turned my head just in time to see the attacker aiming another arrow in my direction, this time I was fasted through and shot straight through his shoulder causing him to drop his weapon. "He's hit!" I informed the others and Bellamy was quick to his feet, he snuck around the trees just in case there were more but no one made a move on him so the rest of us followed in pursuit. On the floor, the grounder was grasping his shoulder attempting to stop the bleeding. Bellamy pointed his gun directly at him before asking, "Which direction to get to the village?" But the grounder wasn't the one to respond, several rounds of gunshots sounded in the distance. We all shared glances before Bellamy quickly pounded the butt of his gun into the grounders head, knocking him out cold.

We immediately started sprinting towards the gunshots, weaving in and out of trees until the village came into sight. In the centre was Finn gun blazing, murdering grounders left, right and centre. Except they were unarmed, running for their lives. Murphy was tugging at his shirt begging for him to stop shooting but he wouldn't listen, only stopping when he laid eyes on Clarke. The four of us jumped down the mound we were stood on and slowly walked through the pile of newly dead corpses. Octavia dropped next to the only grounder who was still alive and was holding a young boy whose life was slipping away. Finn stepped close to Clarke still staring at her as if she was the most important thing in his life right now. "I found you..." He breathed out but Clarke shook her head in response, looking around at the bloody ground. "What have you done?" she questioned, her voice cracking slightly. "They were a threat!" "They were unarmed!" Bellamy walked in between them and pulled the gun from Finn's hands, "I think I should hold onto this."
