*between the time that San got home and when Britt got back from work. santana was just talking to meredith about all the stuff she got at the shops today, and of course Meredith was dying to see the ring. so San texted Quinn and asked her to send a picture of the ring so Santana would be able to forward it onto Meredith*

Santana: *after she had done a bunch of other stuff on her phone for a few hours, she heard the front door opening. so she put her phone on the coffee table then went to greet Britt by the door, because she was just so excited to see her after not seeing or talking to her all afternoon* welcome home! *smiles at she reaches out and drapes her arms over Brittany's shoulders to hug her*
Brittany: *Smiles as she wraps her arms round Santana's waist and kisses her on the cheek before resting her head in the crook of San's neck* hi baby!
Santana: *stands up straight so she can look into Brittany's eyes* how was work? *smiles*
Brittany: stressful as Frankenstine... *laughs at her choice of word to replace yet another swear word* im ready to snuggle with you on the couch for the rest of the evening *smiles at San*
Santana: sounds good! *giggles* come on and get comfy! * takes Brittany's jacket off and hangs it on the coatrack. then grabs hold of her hand and guides her towards the couch. Brittany collapses onto the couch and rest her head on the back of it with her eyes closed. while santana just stands next to the couch and looks down, admiring how cute Brittany looks* ... is there anything i can do for you? *looks at Britt, as she lays in the same position not saying anything. all she does is lift her legs up so they are stretched out infront of her. it takes a minute for san to realise what Britt is asking for but then she just laughs and kneels down infront of Brittany and starts to undo the lases on her shoes*
Brittany: *lifts her head up a little and opens one eye to look down and San* wow, that actually worked! *laughs* whatever happened to you this morning must still be lingering and keeping you in a good mood *smiles as Santana looks up at Brittany and smiles, thinking back to why she was smiling this morning and also why she has been in such a good mood today. once san had taken Britt's shoes off she got up and sat next to Brittany, snuggling into her side as Brittany wraps her arms around Santana and holds her close*
Santana: * few moments of silence later! she looks up at Brittany, who turned her head to look down at Santana* you wanting a hot chocolate?
Brittany: nah, lets just cuddle! *wraps her arms securely around San so she gets the hint and doesnt go anywhere*
Santana: *giggles at how Brittany is never shy to show her clinginess* alright then! *goes back to laying her head on Brittany's chest and cuddling her*
Brittany: *brushes her fingers through Santana's hair* i missed you today!
Santana: *looks up at Brittany* i missed you too!
