Squinting her eyes at the sun poking through the curtains, Carson turns over to see Stiles staring at her in her desk chair.

"Stiles, what the hell!" she jumps, his face a little blurry without her glasses.

"What?" he notices her attempt to locate the lenses, handing them to her.

"I thought you went home last night."

"I did, and after about five minutes I turned back around. Do you not remember? You couldn't sleep, I made you tea, helped you with your homework, which made absolutely no sense," he raises his eyebrows.

"Yeah, but you could've left after I fell asleep, you didn't have to stay all night."

"When are you gonna realize that I would do anything for you? Literally anything at all," he moves her hair out of her face.

"I like the sound of that," she smiles, hazel eyes boring into amber ones. "The feeling is mutual, you know. I do love you much more than you know."

"Did the cuts heal?" he asks, making her raise from her bed, walking towards the vanity.

"Um, almost, I think the kanima venom is out of my system," she replaces the bandages from her side and neck.

"Time for school," Gina pokes her head in, leaving two mugs of coffee on the dresser.

"Thanks Mom!"

"Thank you, Ms. Rivera!"

Carson walks into class, a little bothered by the eyes on her, but chooses to ignore it. She was still very sore from all the fighting, so it was probably a terrible idea to wear heels, but there was always a part of her that clung onto the Carson who never looked less than perfect.

"Are you sure you're up for class? I heard about what happened," Mrs. Finch points to the bruise still on her forehead.

"Trust me when I say I've been through worse," she nods, laying her notebook on her desk.

"Okay. Quiet down, everyone," she finishes her drawing on the chalk board. "If 99.9% of our DNA sequence is the same as other humans, what could account for the missing .1% difference? Theo?"

"Um, nucleotides."

"That's right."

"Can there be more than one species in the same DNA?" Kira asks.

"No, but there can be multiple sets of DNA in the same individual. We call that a chimera."

"Does anyone know where the term comes from? Sydney."
