"Kohaku-San."
The womans head slowly turned to the figure, holding hands with a silver haired man and avoiding eye-contact with her.
A small smile appeared on her face as she turned around in her wheelchair.
"Nakano-Taichou."
Tears instantly fell from Nakanos eyes as she had taken off her sunglasses out of respect and had her infinity off. The overwhelming guilt she felt was terrible. It was like a thousand anvils were pinning her down with a hot piece of metal stabbing her 24/7 and leaving that burning feeling.
"How have you been, taichou?"
Kohaku was only 24, and the incident had happened when she was 21.
A prodigy, to a crippled regular hospital patient.
"I'm so sorry, Kohaku-San."
"Theres nothing for you to be sorry for."
Though the female spoke softly and in a welcoming voice, Nakano was the least bit comforted. She felt so, so, so, so guilty. She would do literally anything to gain Kohaku's forgiveness, whether it be through money or missions.
"I've never been mad at you for what happened." The Uchihas eyes snapped up in shock but Kohaku was just smiling.
Actually,
Kohaku seemed happier.
"K-Kohaku-San?"
"It wasn't your fault, you know." She stated more than asked. "I was prepared for everything as a shinobi, and I mean everything. What happened couldn't be avoided, but you thankfully got me out of there before I could die."
"But now..."
"I'm crippled?" She nodded. "But I rather this than be a shinobi."
"W-What?"
"I hated being a shinobi, to be honest."
"Then why would you-"
"To support my family." A sigh escaped her. "My family is very poor, and I could get lots of money as an ANBU. Of course that ended once I got injured but..."
A thankful look was sent to Nakano, who looks down at her intertwined hands with Kakashis. He gives her a slight squeeze in support, also wondering what Kohaku was talking about.
"You've been paying for everything haven't you? Even my brothers academy fees."
The silver haired male looked at Nakano in disbelief, wondering if what she was saying was true. And by the look on his lovers face, it definitely was.
