"Honey?" Kakashi called out for his wife, slowly opening the door to make his presence known.
Two months after the war, they'd gotten married silently without a wedding, wanting to just settle down much to Obitos annoyance as he had envisioned himself jumping out of a cake and surprising the two.
Though, he couldn't do that anymore since he was hokage now or that would ruin his reputation for some reason. After the war, Minato almost instantly gave him the hat and dipped, but not before telling him his son would be taking over soon, proudly.
Kakashi smiled at the figure standing outside in the garden, wearing a simple white dress and hat to protect herself from the glaring sun. He slowly took off his jonin vest and approached her, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and kissing her neck softly.
"Welcome home," She giggled softly, turning to look at him with that sweet smile he loved.
Uchiha Nakano retired at a young age, saying she wanted to just rest for awhile, and no one could blame her at all. With everything she'd been through, she deserved much more than just to relax but it was all she wanted.
She wasn't much of a housewife, or rather just a kunoichi waiting for her husband to return. If that was what people saw as a housewife than so be it. It's not like there was anything wrong with being a housewife anyways.
No longer was she the head of the Uchiha clan and instead allowing her younger brother to take the position. Itachi was better suited for it anyways.
"I missed you." He nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck, breathing in her scent while she smiled softly and ran her fingers through his hair.
"But you saw me a few hours ago."
"So?" She could practically hear the pout in his voice. "I just missed my wifey."
"You sure love calling me that." She stated rather than asked as he lifted her up and spun around with a smile plastered onto his face. Nakano giggled once he finally settled her on her feet and allowed himself to look at the field of flowers in awe.
"You've taken a liking to gardening."
"Yeah..." She hummed. "It's relaxing."
"Hmm..." He slowly offered his hand and lowered himself with a sly grin, receiving an amused look in response.
"May I have this dance, m'lady?"
"Hm?" She sent him a false smug look and placed her hand in his with a nod.
"You may."

"Aneki...?"
"Hn?"
Itachi smiled and offered his dango, to which she gladly took and began munching on happily. Itachi stared at her for awhile before a few tears escaped his eyes.
He was just so happy for some reason. Not long ago had there been a war, but it was like Nakano was a new person. Perhaps being forgiven by her former teammates eased the remaining guilt on her shoulders and now she could finally smile without force.
"T-Tachi?" She stuttered, shocked by his tears as she wiped them away in panic. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, nothing," He laughed softly and wiped his tears. "I-I'm just so happy. You're finally smiling."
"What...?"
"You're finally eating with me, and with a true smile." She chewed on the dango and shot the stick into the trash can. Two fingers tapped Itachis forehead as he looked at her soft smile that made him feel like a child once again.
"I've never once faked a smile when seeing you, Tachi." She kissed his forehead. "Never once."
"Sorry to interrupt the moment, but squeeze in some space for everyones favorite cousin." Shisui laughed at the looks they gave him. "C'mon! Don't be like that!"
Rolling her eyes a little, Nakano let out a small laugh and looked back at the lake in front of them with soft and glittering eyes. Shisui watched her fondly, feeling a much similar way to Itachi as he was the one to stop her from ending her life. It was satisfying to see that she was now happy- despite all the pain none would think had resided inside of her.
"You know..." She whispered, not taking her eyes off the setting sun. "After the war, I was actually pretty sad."
Itachi pursed his lips and looked at her in shock. Was she confiding in him? Did that mean she finally acknowledged him as an adult rather than a child? He quickly regained himself and cleared his hearing for her.
"But for some reason, the sadness was actually able to be replaced by happiness, you know?" She clenched the fabric of her dress and allowed a small smile to curl her lips.
"It never did that. I guess the war helped me more than it did hurt...Because...Because I feel so happy right now." Her smile turned into a grin as her eyes glistened. "I've never been so happy before, so thank you Tachi, Shisui." She turned her head to look at the stunned boys.
"Thank you for keeping your promises."
"..."
"..."
"Aneki!" Itachi sobbed dramatically and wrapped his arms around her neck as if he was still four years old while Shisui collapsed on the ground and cried, the previous scene warming his heart too much.
Nakano sweatdropped with a small and nervous chuckle, patting her sobbing brothers back softly. Itachi raised his head and sniffed, looking at her smile.
"You know why I'm not sad, Tachi?"
"?"
"Because you love me, and I love you."
