"Tch, this sucks. Sensei left us to do her work, again."
"Cut 'er some slack, Nobara. She's the clan head now, remember?"
"Shut up, Itadori. You're her favorite, of course you'd take her side."
"That's not true, Megumi!"
The three were walking back towards the village after collecting a crucial scroll- an s-rank assigned to them by their one and only sensei. Perks of having a sensei who had full trust in your abilities and always had a summoning to make sure they could do reverse summoning.
"Iaatho," They looked at the shadow wolf next to Megumi, that tilted it's head at them in acknowledgement.
"Tell sensei we got the scroll." He formed his hand into a sign as the wolf disappeared with a bark, and Megumi sighed.
"Why did she name it Iaatho, again?"
" 'I alone am the honored one' That's what it stands for apparently." Megumi and Nobara groaned, the latter wondering why Megumi had allowed their sensei to name the wolf. Megumi snarled at her look and sped up his walks, Itadori sending them both looks filled with confusion as to why they were so mad with Nakano.
"Welcome back you three!" Izumo and Kotetsu waved, receiving three waves back while they headed towards the compound. Aweing a little at the fact that almost fifteen year olds were going out on s-rank missions.
What else would you expect from the strongest' students?
"Sensei!" Itadori bursted into the room, expecting to see her grin. But instead, their sensei was collapsed on the desk with a bottle of sake near her desk. They frowned a little and walked closer, only stopping a foot away from her when they realized her infinity was on.
A large amount of chakra appeared, glowing, and in the form of a fox as they recognized the creature.
"You finished the mission?" They nodded and Kurama told them to leave the scroll on the ground.
"What's wrong with sensei?" All though he put up an act of uncaring and unbothered, Megumi was worried for his sensei.
"Let's just say...She was reminded of her past."
"Her past?" Itadori quirked up in curiosity. "What about her past?"
"Unless you want nightmares, I suggest you kids go to sleep." The three understood it was the foxes nice way of saying 'get out or I'll kill you because this is none of your business'. Before they left, Itadori shot one last look of concern at his teacher.
"Oi, salmon boy."
"Huh?" He looked up at Kurama. "Get the silver boy. Y'know, the one who hides 90% of his face?"
"Oh, you mean Kakashi-Sensei?"
"Yeah, whatever. " Kurama grunted. "Tell 'em to c'mere and take 'er home."
"Yes, sir!" And within a few minutes, Kakashi appeared.
"Goodness, Kano-Chan..." Kurama stopped focusing his chakra for her infinity, letting the male walk towards his lover and help her up. Her arm wrapped around his neck and his own around her waist.
"Kurama," He grunted and began walking towards her house. "What happened?"
The fox refused to answer.
He observed his fiance- yes you heard that right. Not too long ago he proposed, and of course she accepted.
Back to his point- The Hatake noticed she was definitely drinking, to the point that she'd passed out. Nakano wasn't a light weight at all, and barely ever drank this much. And he'd hoped it wasn't her new addiction right after quitting smoking.
"Kashi...?" The light whisper was barely heard as he knocked on the head family's door. A tired, but annoyed Sasuke opened the door. A little confused as to why his sensei was here at 11:00 pm , but instantly stopped and called his brother to help him.
"What happened?"
"I don't know," Kakashi answered the eldest boy and set her carefully down on the bed. After doing so, he turned to Itachi who held a strong frown.
"I guess she had too much to drink and passed out. Other than that, something probably happened to her. Do you mind getting me when she wakes up."
"Yes, of course." Itachi nodded and closed the door, sending the worried Sasuke a reassuring look.
"She's just drunk." Sasuke let out a sigh with both disappointment and relief.
"Man, and just when the idiot was so excited to see her." He snickered. "He's going to be way too loud for her."
"Which is why," Itachi pat his head a little dangerously. "You'll protect our amazing Aneki, right?"
"I forgot to add, 'he would be too loud but only if he's alive' I'll kill'em."
"Good boy. But let's refrain from the killing part."
"Yeah, Sakuras got that covered."
