Chapter 8,"There's No Way...!"

Shuichi slowly opens his eyes to the voice calling for him.
His vision was hazy at first but he saw the outline and familiar colours of two of his friends.
Kaede and.....ah shit....Rantaro.

Shuichi rubs his eyes lazily.

"Akamatsu-Chan...?Whats...the matter?"

He asks,drowzily,still really tired.

"Come on!Wake up!How long have you two been sleeping?"

Kaede sighs.
Confused by when she said 'two',Shuichi looks to his side and sees Kokichi's head resting on his shoulder,he was still sleeping.

"Guess you guys got really bored."

Rantaro smiles,amused but Shuichi could sense hostility in his voice,somehow.

"Ah.I didnt even realize we fell asleep!"

Shuichi panicks,jolting awake fully.
Shuichi's movements had quickly awoken Kokichi.

"Huh??Whats...going on?"

Kokichi says drowzily,letting out a soft yawn.

"You two fell asleep while reading.It was cute but you shouldnt sleep to freely.We are in a killing game."

Kaede gently scolds,a relieved smile on her face.

"Im sorry Matsu."

Kokichi bows slightly.
He then notices Rantaro standing alittle bit behind Kaede.

"Taro!"

Kokichi's eyes shine in excitement as he jumps to his feet and runs over to Rantaro,giving him a hug.

"Ah!Kokichi?Did you miss me or something?"

Rantaro laughs,patting Kokichi on the head.

"Not really.Im just happy to see you."

Kokichi replies bluntly,his cheeks slightly flushed but his expression blank.

"How cute!"

Kaede teases,letting out a soft chuckle.
She then looks towards Shuichi.
He had his head down with a defeated frown on his face.

"Are...you okay Saihara-Kun?"

Kaede asks.
Shuichi slowly nods.
He stands to his feet then walks towards the shelf he placed the book he found.
The Broken Love,Broken Trust book.

After getting the book,he looks back towards Kaede.

"Sorry Akamatsu-Chan.I just had to get a book I wanted to read later."

Shuichi apologizes.
Kaede waves her hand,indicating it was fine.

"We should get going."

Rantaro says.
Kokichi was still hugging him,which made Shuichi...abit upset?

"Ouma-Kun!Do you wanna hear me play my piano?"

Kaede asks.
He releases Rantaro from his hug then turns to Kaede.

"Mhm.Sounds fun,Matsu."

Kokichi smiles gently.
Kaede's eyes shine happily.
She grabs Kokichi's hand and begins to run out of the library,very excited.

"By Taro!Bye Shuichi!"

Kokichi announces as he's dragged off by Kaede.
Kaede and Kokichi were now out of sight.
It was just Rantaro and Shuichi in the library now.

Shuichi looks down at the Broken Love,Broken Trust book he found in his hand,abit excited to read it.

"Hey Saihara-Kun?"
