Its dead quiet.Shuichi was a blushing mess while Kokichi was just staring at him with no emotion on his face.
"I-I have...no idea what youre t-talking abou--"
"I know youre lying."
Kokichi interupts.
Shuichi jolts then goes silent.
"I....remembered something."
Kokichi mutters.
Shuichi was then intrigued.He finally remembered.
"I remember...confessing to you on a stair landing.That...really happened...didnt it?"
Kokichi continues,ducking his head,his face burning a bright red.
Shuichi nods as he begins to blush aswell.Its silent again.
"Aw...jeez.This sucks..."
Kokichi mumbles,slightly pulling at his hair.
"Im...sorry for...l-lying to you..."
Shuichi twiddles his thumbs.
"I just didnt want...to overload you with anything and...I didnt want you t-to treat me di-differently..."
Shuichi reluctantly says,looking to his lap.
"Its weird to know that you and I were a couple."
Kokichi sighs.
"Y-Yeah...really weird..."
Shuichi quietly responds.
Kokichi realizes how uncomfortable Shuichi was.Shuichi was in the verge of tears,he didnt want this to happen at all.Kokichi didnt know what he was feeling...he just knew he had to be on good terms with Shuichi.
"Hey,Shumai.Cheer up,okay?"
Kokichi grins.
Shuichi keeps his head lowered.
"I dont think less of you at all!I think its kinda interesting knowing we dated."
Kokichi attempts to cheer the detective up,but to no avail.
"Im...sorry for everything...Ouma-Kun."
Shuichi sniffles.
"Call me Kokichi.I like when you do that."
Kokichi responds.
Shuichi was abit surprised but alittle happy the liar didnt have a problem with it.
"By the w-way...uhm Kokichi...the locket you had...did you break it?"
Shuichi asks.
Kokichi instantly frowns.
"Y-Yeah...but I didnt mean to.I was abit...dazed and the locket was just in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Kokichi shrugs.
Shuichi heavily sighs.
"Thank god.I thought you broke it because you we mad at me."
Shuichi chuckles,relieved.
"Why are you so worried about the locket?"
Kokichi queries.
"Since...you dont remember...when we...erhm...started dating...I got that locket for you.You treasured it."
Shuichi explains.
It takes Kokichi a second to put all the pieces together.
"Ah-!I broke it!I broke your locket!!"
Kokichi was hit with reality real quick.
"C-Calm down!Its fine!"
Shuichi panicks slightly.
Kokichi felt horrible.He mustve hurt Shuichi so much since he lost his memories...again.
