Chapter 13,"I'll Love You Instead!"

Shuichi didnt know how to respond.
All he did was smile.

"I dont mind.Not at all."

Shuichi comments.
Kokichi didnt respond.He fell back asleep,his head still cuddled against Shuichi's.

"Oh.He fell back asleep."

Shuichi says quietly to not disturb Kokichi.

"Uuugghhrrgg!I cant find the music sheet!"

Kaede groans.
She looks back at Shuichi and Kokichi.
She notices Shuichi's warm,happy expression as he looks at Kokichi,who was sleeping soundly.
She wished she had a phone to take a picture.

"Come on.We should hurry to the dormitory."

Kaede says quietly.
Shuichi nods.
They continue to talk as they walk to the dormitory.

Before long,they make it to Shuichi's dorm.
Its been awhile since Kaede and Shuichi hung out together,they were excited to chat with eachother for awhile,like old times.

Shuichi didnt wanna leave Kokichi alone,knowing how absentminded and clumsy he could be.So,he decided to let Kokichi sleep in his room.
Once they got in,Shuichi placed Kokichi to lie snuggly on his bed.He was still surprised how light a teenage boy was.

Kokichi quickly got comfortable and snuggled his head against one of Shuichi's pillows.Shuichi sighs.

"He's so cute now that he's resting."

Kaede comments.

"Isnt he basically always rested?He always seems so bored and emotionless."

Shuichi replies.

"Yeah...I guess,but during the times I see him alone,he looks like he's bothered by something,with his eyebrows slightly furrowed."

Kaede grins.

"Alone?How often is that?"

Shuichi asks.

"Not often.I usually see him when he's just pacing around in one area,its normally near the stairs leading to the first floor from the ground floor."

Kaede mutters.

"Why near the stairs?"

Shuichi holds his chin in thought.
Kaede simply shrugs,unsure.
What connections could Kokichi have to the stairs....or possible....something upstairs?

"We should quiet down or we'll wake Sleeping Beauty over there."

Kaede giggles as she points to Kokichi on the bed.

"Yeah.Its funny how he barely ate but the food coma is hitting him hard."

Shuichi comments.

"Huh.I wonder why he ate so little."

Kaede sighs.
Shuichi looks at Kaede with an eyebrow raised.

"Uhm...because you ate most of his food,Akamatsu-Chan..."

Shuichi sighs.
Kaede blushes.

"Ahahah!Right!I totally forgot!Haha!"

Kaede laughs nervously,alittle embarrassed.
The two sit on the couch in Shuichi's dorm that faced the TV and began to chat.
The chatted about everything and anything and sometimes about nothing.They really were bestfriends.

"Oh!I never asked."

Shuichi gasps silently,just remembering something.

"Hm?Never asked what?"
