Chapter 4,"Its Just A Fever!"

"Now get rest.I'll be here if you want me."

Kokichi says,slightly pushing Shuichi down on the bed.

"Okay!Okay,i'll rest..."

Shuichi rolls his eyes,resting his head on his pillow.
He laid there for afew seconds.
He could feel Kokichi's stare.
It made a cold chill run up his spine.

"Can you...stop staring at me?"

Shuichi sighs.
Kokichi shrugs.

"Im sorry."

Kokichi apologizes and looks away.
He didnt leave though.
He did say that he wouldnt leave.
Shuichi shuts his eyes and cuddles his head on his pillow.

His body was still really hot and still really cold.
His body wouldnt stop shaking and his breathing was heavy.

Kokichi then pulls Shuichi's bedsheets over Shuichi's shivering body,up to his neck.

"Does that help?"

Kokichi asks.
Shuichi couldnt reply,he was feeling so ill.
Kokichi stares at Shuichi's red face for a second.

"I should really call someone for you.You'll get worse."

Kokichi says calmly.
Shuichi tries to reply but cant find the strength.
Kokichi took his silence as an 'okay'.

Kokichi hops off the bed,ready to leave the dorm but Shuichi grabs hold of his sleeve again.

"D-Dont....go....im f-fine."

Shuichi pants.
Kokichi stares for a second.

"I'll be right back,Tantei-Chan."

Kokichi says,removing Shuichi's hand off his sleeve.
Kokichi continues on his way out the dorm,and all Shuichi could do was watch.

After afew seconds,Kokichi was gone and Shuichi was the only person in his dorm.

Shuichi felt...really lonely.
He sits up slowly,his vision alittle blurry.

"A-Akamatsu...chan..."

Shuichi mumbles.
He had to make it to her dorm before someone else came.
He really didnt want people to know he was ill.

Shuichi stands from his bed.
He felt so lightheaded.
He couldnt believe a fever could get so bad so quickly.

Shuichi picks up his jacket off the floor and puts it back on.
He walks over to his dorm door.
He felt so horrible.
On shaky legs,he left his dorm,on his way to Kaede's dorm.

On his way there,he sees Kaede leaving her dorm.
He had to hurry.
With a weak voice,he calls out of her.

"A-Akamatsu!"

Shuichi calls walking away from his dorm on the ground floor of the dormitory.
Kaede stops in her tracks in confusion.
She looks around abit,then lays eyes on Shuichi.

"Ah!Saihara-Kun!Hey!"

Kaede smiles happily as she quickly runs over to her closest friend.
She then realized what was up.
Shuichi looked so sick.
His face was red,his breathing was mismatched,his skin pale and his body was shaking.

"Saihara-Kun!Whats going on!?Are you okay?!"

Kaede panicks,quickly checking Shuichi's temperature by putting her hand on his forehead.

"I....I think I came d-down with....a bad fever...."

Shuichi pants,his legs about to give out under him.
