I was watching Enthiran 2 alongside my brother and Mother. It was 1 a.m. in the dawn of the day. My grandfather was fast asleep. My dog was lying down in his cage. He was neither was asleep nor awake. The sky was still dark with stars still visible. The moon was hiding behind puffs of white balls. The clouds were moving rather stagnant.
I was seated on the left side of my mother as my brother was seated on the right side of our mother making him sit in front of the table that had my school bag. My brother and mother were seated on the 3-seat sofa while I was seating on the single-seat sofa.
The movie was playing on my mother phone while my phone was in hand. It was in silent mode and my brother phone was in my grandfather room switch off. My mother heard a ringing of a phone from behind my brother. At first, my mother thought it was the background audio of the movie as at the moment it was the scene of phones ringing and turning into sparrows. But when listen carefully the ringing was not from the movie.
The source of the ringing was behind my brother. My mother asked me if I heard the ringing. Indeed I heard ringing, I checked my phone, it was still on silent mode. We heard the ringing 2 times. Each ring lasted for few seconds. My brother was too spooked and into the movie to pay attention to his surrounding.
At the end of the movie, my mother was about to exit Prime Videos. Google Assistant gave a spook by popping up on the screen asking to say something and recorded by my brother laugh. At first, my brother reaction was 'I never touched the phone but he soon rolled into laughter when my mother commented she was officially spooked by the phone.
I was trying my best to muffled out my laughter when my mother commented so. I was equally spooked when I heard those ringing and when google assistant appears on the screen in the end. Yet a little voice in me said, 'Humans are being afraid of the very technology they made ' broke me into laughter.
My grandfather did not wake up to my mother and brother screams not did my dog. My dog expression was rather such whenever he lifts his head to pay heed to my brother and mother reactions.
'Isn't it a little too late for you hoomans screaming because the phones in the movie scaring you?'
I was afraid to sleep near my phone that dawn after I shut the lights at 3 a.m.I slept with my mother in the room alongside my dog in his cage.
