Chapter 19: The Search

Y/n's perspective:

    Midas and I woke up really early. It was still dark outside when we went to the choppa. The ride to the Grotto was quiet. We didn't talk the entire ride and I started to get more and more nervous. I haven't been to the Grotto in over a year and I was happy to not have to be there anymore. When I was in the Agency and Midas was talking about his plan, the thought of having to go back to the Grotto didn't hit me as much as it did now.
Midas slowly landed the choppa on the outskirts of Retail Road.  We both got out and I looked around. I've only been to Retail a few times and I thought the area was pretty. I noticed that Midas start to walk off and so I ran to catch up to him. "Why did you land here?" I asked looking at him. "Well if I landed near the grotto, they could've easily seen us coming." After he finished talking, we continued walking for what seemed like a year until we reached this huge hole in the ground. We both looked down to see all the henchman walking around and some of the other shadow members. I took a deep breath and backed away. I wasn't ready for this at all. What if we got caught and they took me away again? What would happen then? I moved a bit far away from the hole and the thoughts of when I was in the Grotto ran through my head.
I started to take a few deep breaths and I looked up to see Midas walking towards me. "What's wrong?" he said as he got closer. I stayed silent. "Look Y/n, I know you don't wanna go there because of your past but we have to because..". "..Why do I have to go?" I said. I didn't mean to cut Midas off, but I was confused and annoyed. I know I agreed to this but I didn't understand on why I had to go with him. This was his plan after all and I knew he could've done this by himself without my help. Midas looked at me. "You know this place better than I do and so you would know where to find Astra." Midas said. Midas turned around and started looking around. "There's gotta be another way to get in". I knew another entrance that was somewhere around here. I started to move forward and down the hill to the main entrance. When we got to the entrance, Midas stepped in front of me and carefully looked around. A few henchman noticed us and started shooting. We fought some of them off and ran to the area where the big hole in the center of the ceiling was. I looked at the helicopter pad and saw Astra talking to Chaos.
"She's up there." I whispered as I started to find my way to the helicopter pad. When we had finally got there, Astra was still there but Chaos had left. I had froze. I honestly didn't think we were gonna get this far. Midas walked toward her and I walked behind him. "Astra Universe.." Midas said. She then turned around to look at us. "Midas and... Y/n?"
