Chapter 9: Weird

When I woke up from my "nap" it was already the next day. I rushed to see what time it was but I then remembered it was Saturday. I sighed in relief as I fell back on my pillow and scrolled through my phone. That's when I heard a knock on the door.
I got up to open it and it was no other than Skye standing at my door smiling. "Good morning Y/n!" She said with a smile. "Do you wanna go to the beach with everyone else today" she said tilting her head. "Sure" I replied as I looked around my room to see how to get ready first. "Great! We will leave in a hour" she said skipping away. I nodded and close the door and slowly got ready for the beach.
Everyone was downstairs already when I got there. Meowsclues was packing the bags in the car. All the girls were talking. And Midas was doing..... well nothing. I looked over at him for a while and he must have saw me because he stared back. I quickly turned my head but even though I turned around, I still felt like he was staring at me.
After a while of driving and TnTina almost killing us in the drive, we finally made it to the beach. Maya and TnTina put everything down and went in the water while Meowsclues, Skye, and I built a sandcastle. I kept feeling like someone was watching or looking at me. Everytime I turned around, Midas always seemed to turn his head away from my direction. It seemed weird at first but after a while I didn't really mind it. We stayed at the beach for a while and after a couple of hours we decided to go home.
I soon realized that while we were leaving, I saw people from shadow enter the beach and one of the people was Chaos Agent. I looked behind me as they walked by to see if they noticed me but thank god they didn't. The girl walking with Chaos looked behind her too and glared at me but didn't say anything.

The girls were in the lounge talking and laughing. My mind, as usual, was wondering about many different things. But 2 things really stood out. 1) Did the girl with Chaos Agent recognized me? And 2) why was Midas staring at me all day? It was almost as if Maya was reading my mind because she brought up one of those questions.
"Y/nnnn" she said looking at me smiling. I rolled my eyes a little bit and looked at her. "Did you see Midas staring at you all day"? So I wasn't going crazy. I knew he was staring at me. "Yea I saw" I replied not knowing how to keep this conversation going. "Ooo maybe he likes you" Skye said nudging me and smiling too. TnTina started to be in the conversation now and was also smiling. They were all waiting for my response. "I mean....".
I didn't really know what to say because I didn't wanna start thinking about that and it's not 100% obviously he likes me. I soon realized Meowsclues was there. "Ooo can I play" I said pointing at the video games. Skye handed me the controller and we started talking about other things. I was so glad I changed the conversation.
I mean don't get me wrong, Midas is really cute but I wanted to at least know if he likes me a bit if I'm going to let my feelings for him wander. The night slowly went on as we all ended up falling asleep.
But what happens if Midas actually likes me? All I know is that after he finds out about shadow, he won't like me anymore.
