Chapter 23

I didn't understand. Why would anyone have some feeling for me? I'm mean and a nerd. A fake too.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I took of my contacts and put on my glasses. I didn't care anymore. I mean, I'm not a fake right? I didn't dye my hair. It's only contacts. Everybody wears them.

Puberty. That's all it is. But just to try I wore my glasses and walked out of the girls toilet.

Gabby took my arm.

"I miss you in glasses Ela." she said.

I took a deep breath in and we walked into the hall. There was Mr. Roy. He walked over to me.

"I miss this part of you. Why did you change?" He asked and looked at my hair.

"Uh, genes. and, puberty." I said awkwardly.

"That explains it. I still remember when I used to bully you." he said.

Gabby walked away.

"Really how?" I asked.

He took my glasses. My vision was quite bad. So I was pretty angry.

I reached for it but he put his hand up.Now I remember. He said I was such a short girl and that it was cute. That guy is so cliche.

I jumped. I got angrier.

"Give it back! We're not little kids anymore Roy," I said.

"But we are still kids." he said.

Suddenly someone grabbed my glasses from his hands. Kade. He always just barges in.

"Here you go prez. Games over Logan." he said and walked away.

I felt as if there was a bromance between them.

You see, everybody calls Kade his second name (Kade) but Roy calls him Cameron and cause of that,Kade calls Roy his first name. I know, complicated.

"Prez, prez." Kade said tapping on my head.

"Wake up." Roy said his face close to mine.

"Whoa dude, to close. She'll bite your face off." Kade said and pulled him back.

"Let her." he said.

I think Roy thought that Kade meant the more, less innocent way.

"O-kay you two get to class.I have to go." I said and walked away. Roy walked away.

"Everybody wants to steal my girl." Kade whispered in my ear.

Why are we all suddenly saying lyrics of a song. It has become a trend.

I slapped him with my hair and walked away. stupid boys.
