Chapter 62

The festival. The ending of the year festival. This wasn't prom. Our school is different.

We have a festival, where we students have performances, maybe hire a band, selling food and drinks and stuff that would get us money for the school.

Technically a fund raiser.

"Maybe we could hire that famous new band, uh, the Bandits?" someone suggested.

"I don't care I just want it to be a success," I said and walked out of the room.

I felt so, light headed and super dizzy and I couldn't think quite right.

"Hey, prez, you okay?" Kade asked worriedly.

"Mhhmm," I replied. But I wanted to puke. I was to scared of opening my mouth or the slight chance of puke bursting out from my mouth and draining my tummy.

"You don't need a nurse?" he asked not giving up.

I swallowed some saliva and cleared my throat.

"I don't," I simply replied and walked past him like a living zombie.

"Hey, your going to work today?" he asked worriedly.

I nodded and looked away. Actually at Fuko who was coming toward me smiling from ear-to-ear.

She tripped a couple of times but that didn't stop her.

"Laney!" she shouted happily and screaming after tripping and falling and landing on her elbows. She brushed herself off and continued running toward me.

I felt to dizzy to move as she banged into me and I fell to the floor weakly.

"Prez, do you need some help? Come on," Kade's voice said taking my hand.

Goshdangit you idiot Elana! Get up yourself don't be so weak! Is what the half of me is saying. The other is telling me to surrender to Kade.

I pulled my hand away and slowly tried to get up myself. But it didn't quite work and I ended up giving up and letting Kade take my hand.

"Laney? You want a Nutella sandwich? I got 4 for free would you like one? Are you okay?" Fuko asked sweetly.

"Is that why you were so happy as to banging into her?" Kade asked sarcastically.

"Shut up barney. Fuko didn't know," Fuko snapped.

"Barney?" he questioned.

"Just, help me!" I exhaled.

Fuko helped me on the other side as I limped to the nurses office.

"She's got food poisoning is all," the nurse said.

"But she's not poopy. Fuko asked Laney if she felt like it but she said that she's just light headed," Fuko said.

"Who knows, maybe she was poisoned then," the nurse joked.

Kade and Fuko looked at each other urgently.

"Oh come on kids, it was just a joke. Lighten up. She'll be fine. She just needs some medication," Nurse said.

Fuko signalled Kade to bend down for her to whisper to him. But their to loud so I can hear them.

"Fuko thinks that Bitch Queen did it," Fuko whispered to Kade.

"Me too," he replied in a whisper.

I looked away and took a deep breath. I have to be able to recover. I have to make a speech for that festival which is in another 3 days and Jacky has got stage fright and I'm scared he'll pee on stage.

I sighed and kept still as the nurse told me to rest.
