Chapter 2

The first day went like this,
~During Lunch Time

"Um hey, can I sit here?" said Fiona.

Fiona, she was one of the crowd people. She was nice but to save her own popularity she didn't talk to me for half a year until I confronted her.

"Fiona?" I asked.

"Yeah. How'd you know?" She asked.

"I know cause it's me. It's Elana Joy. You know, the girl who wore glasses and braces and had short hair and had big cheeks and was extremely unpopular? The one you didn't talk to for half a year just for your own sake and not standing up for nerd society? Well, look at that! What a small year. Come sit." I said.

Her mouth still hanging open she put her tray down and took a good look at me.

"No way. It's you." Fiona said in disbelief.

"Really? How'd you know it was Elana?" Gabby said sarcastically.

Then the word spread and the school newspaper took photos of me. I don't know how but they managed to find photos of me last year and during middle school.

In elementary I was quite cute and didn't have braces or glasses but my hair was still short.

They got all four and compared them to now. I was front page on the school newspaper the next day. And all over the school website.

Everyone who knew me were shocked and people who used to call me braces Joy ate their words straight from the oven.

I walked in school the next day and everyone smiled and some of the boys who called me braces joy moved out of my way. Nad then there was a boy I used to crush on in middle school straight to high school.

He was a red head and he started to pay me attention.

I like the attention and respect but it kind of makes me angry. I was shy and quiet last time but I'm much more confident now and I realise that there aren't many girls in this school actually. I mostly see boys.

But anyway, it made me angry cause that made me learn that they only answer to beauty and not what's on the inside. It actually very unfair.
