I don't understand me and Kade. Just a week ago, I say screw you to him. Then two days later, I forget about it and I ask him to come to Starbucks for help.

"Heya Laney!" Fuko shouted in my ear.

"Ugh! Fuko! Seriously goddammit! Never do that again," I scolded.

You see, today is my first day back as president. I was happy but not showing it. I didn't strike a conversation with the two hideous and irritating boys a whole day and thank gosh that made me calm.

"Okay,okay. Fuko apologises." Fuko apologised.

She started bowing low to me and repeated Fuko is sorry.

"Fuko! Chill out. It's okay," I said softly.

"Fuko sorry, It's just, Fuko is excited!" She exclaimed.

"Why?" I asked confused.

"Hello? Laney forget? Tomorrow Fuko's Birthday!" She said excited.

I smiled and nodded. But I was honestly frowning inside cause it was raining.I mean, I absolutely love rain but it's just, I have to walk to the train station to get to work and I don't have an umbrella or a bag or anything useful to shield me from getting wet.

I sighed.

Fuko's mom came, but as much as I'm desperate, if I asked Aunt Yuko to send me to work, she'll be late for her own work.

"Oh, it's raining," Kade's voice said which made me jump.

"The hell? When did you get here?!" I asked and I could hear my heart thumping.

"A second ago." he replied.

"Well, just when I thought today will be very the calm," I sighed.

He chuckled.

"Hey, prez, I can tell you want to get through the rain without getting wet," Kade said.

I rolled my eyes.

"I have an umbrella. In fact, I was thinking of visiting you at work today," he said.

"No need Kade," I replied trying to resist my urge to steal his umbrella.

"Prez, this is no time for getting angry at me. I don't want you sick on your first week of going back to being a president," he said.

"Kade, you do understand that I'm quite angry at you. So I just need you to leave me alone," I said.

"I can't leave you alone Prez. I care about your health. And since I'm always with you, I'll get your sickness," he said.

"Then don't always be with me," I replied.

"Prez, I don't have any idea why your angry at me, but trust me, if you just listen to me and get under my umbrella and not get wet or get late for work, then I won't bother you tomorrow," he said.

"Tomorrow? No, you won't bother me for a month," I bargained.

"Tomorrow," he replied.

"A week," I bargained even more.

"Tomorrow," he replied calmly.

"3 days," I said desperately.

"Tomorrow," he said once again.

"Ugh! Fine. Tomorrow," I replied.

He smiled in satisfaction.

We walked out together and he gave me the umbrella.

"What? I thought you have to use it too?" I asked.

The he looked for something in his bag and pulled out a black jacket with a hoody.

"Do you want your jacket to get wet or something man?" I asked.

"Nope, this is my rain jacket. I wear it when I'm to lazy to hold an umbrella," he replied.

"So you have a jacket especially for rain? But won't the water soak?" I asked.

"It's leather Prez."

"But not all leather prevent soaking water," I said.

"Well, this does. Plus, it makes me look cool and, Jace Wayland-ish," he said.

"You watched the movie?" I asked.

"Yep, but it sucked," he replied.

Then off the pair went to Elana's work place.

"Kade, can I ask why you like me?" I asked.

"Nope." he replied.

"What?! Why?!" I shouted.

"Because you'll figure that out when I win your heart fully," he said.

"Kade I-"

"Shh. Let's walk in peace and try to enjoy the sound of he rain please?" He snapped.

I kept my mouth shut.

And also, I don't mean to upset any of you fans of mortal instruments. But, I never said that it actually sucked, it was Kade's the books character's take on that movie.
