Mom was laughing at something Roy had said.
"Logan! You have grown up to be a witty and handsome boy." she complimented at one point.
But before Roy could reply, the doorbell rang.
I got up to go get it. I opened it and there stood a very sly looking.....
KADE.
I was obviously shocked.
"What are you doing here?!" I said and get ready to slam the door. But he held onto it.
"Can I come in?" He asked.
"No." I replied sternly.
"Thank you for your very friendly invitation Prez," he said then walked in.
"Kade! You stupid sh-" but I cut myself off because he was already talking to my mom.
"Ooh! Cameron! What a delight to see you! How is your mother?" Mom asked and hugged him.
I stood there with my mouth open and Roy just looked confused.
"Mom's fine. She's got to teach a night class tonight. So I decided to come over for a friendly visit." he replied.
"You know him?" Roy and I said in unison.
"Of course I know him! He's Judy's son. Soo handsome now. I'm guessing your here for Elana? Oh Ela, why do you have so many guy friends? Gabby rarely comes over anymore. Are you guys fighting?" Mom asked worriedly.
"No mom. She's just very busy. And now I'm going to my room," I said.
"No. I'm going to prepare something for this two fine young man. You keep them company. Don't you Dare go up," she said.
"But I-"
"Elana Joy. We have guests!" She said sternly.
I sighed and moodily sat down.
Kade and Roy did their staring thingy.
"Guys, seriously. Stop it. Your making me very uncomfortable," I said.
"Ookay!" Sang my mom from the kitchen.
She served them tea and some bread thingies I don't seem to care about. But I took one and started eating.
"So, which one of you are dating my Ela?" Mom suddenly asked.
I chocked on the bread thingy and started coughing hysterically.
"Elana, seriously." mom scolded softly.
Kade chuckled and Roy just smiled.
"None of us are dating her. Just, I have got feelings for her," Roy said.
Kade and I looked at him shocked that he would confess that so openly.
"Oh! Hmm," mom exclaimed then cleared her throat. "How nice, do you and her have something special going on?" Mom asked.
"God mom, I have no idea how you can say that," I sighed.
"Well, we kind of. At least I think we do. But what's sad is that I've got competition standing in my way," he went on.
"What the hell man!" I said.
"Elana, manners," mom warned sternly.
"Yeah pfft, competition," Kade said under his breath loud enough that only Roy and I could hear.
"That's very interesting. Who could possibly be your competition? Even so, I believe that you can win my daughters heart. I give you my blessing," mom said.
"I wish I could be that confident. Because the competition is Cameron," Roy confessed.
I chocked on my own saliva.
"Oh, then uh, Cameron, you have my blessing as well," mom said. She looked seriously confused.
I sighed.
"Mom, this is not something to openly discuss," I said.
"Fine, then we'll discuss this tonight. Me and you," she said and took my hand under the table.
I smiled at her.
"Well, it was really nice to finally get to have a real conversation with you after so long. And thank you so much for the tea and the delicious uh, bread thingy. But it's late so I outta go," Roy said.
"Oh of course," mom said.
"Then I'll be off too. Thanks a lot for everything," Kade said and got up.
"Ela, while I clean up, why don't you open the door for the two," mom suggested.
"Ugh," I complained.
"Elana, this is bad behaviour for the president of the student council," mom scolded.
I got up grabbed the keys and quickly unlocked the door.
"Get out. Never come back." I said.
"Elana!" Mom shouted from the kitchen.
"Gosh, your mother has got good ears," Roy complimented.
"Thank you Logan!" She shouted from the kitchen again.
Then finally, the two left. Thank god that's over.
I hate those two A-holes.
