Throughout the years, Kade and I went it desperate colleges. We broke up and I dated someone else for a few months and he did to. But he told me that he never loved anyone as much as he loved me. And I didn't love that boy as much either.
So we got back together and dated for a year until one day, on my birthday he brought me up to a famous tower and purposed to me. I said yes.
But that's a different story I won't tell.
Because now Fuko's jumping around in her baby blue fluffy dress and laughing.
"Faith! Your 21 years old. Sot down and zip it," Aunt Yuko scolded.
"Oh mom," she said.
"Oh Aunt Yuko! I'm so nervous," I said.
"I wish your mom was here," Aunt Yuko said and sniffled.
My mom passed away a year ago. Telling me she loved me and she was sorry.
Aunt Yuko got up and fixed my dress.
"You look beautiful. I'm so proud of you," Aunt Yuko said.
"I love you Laney. They grow up so fast mom," Fuko said.
I laughed.
"Says the girl who used to call herself as a third person," I said.
"I learned how to speak properly. Sadly. I miss those days. But hey, this is your day," Fuko said and hugged me.
"I love you little Fuko," I said.
"I love you too," she replied.
The jitters in me was killing me. But Fuko had grown up to smartass. She was still quite short, even more beautiful and still dating Clark. They broke up too. They had broke up for 4 years because they agreed on it.
But one night, he got a plane all the way from Chicago back to Fuko to say he loved her. They got back together.
But that's her story to tell.
But this is my story. My story I'm happily telling you know, in my head. That sounds creepy doesn't it? I 'm sorry.
Gabby walked back into the room in her dress. her hair already done.
"I can't believe my best friend is getting married today. We've all grown up," Gabby said.
Gabby and I attended the same college. And we stayed best friends.
Gabby had tears in her eyes. She hugged me tightly.
"We're all growing into lovely wise woman aren't we?" Gabby asked.
"Don't cry Gabs, it will ruin your blasted mascara," I said.
"I'm sorry Ela," she said.
"Okay girls, get ready. It's show time!" Aunt Yuko said.
Dad came in with a happy face.
"You look so beautiful my dear girl," dad said. We embraced and we walked through the hall where everyone's expectant eyes were on me. Even Bitch Queen is here. She changed.
Good for her.
Roy was Kade's best man.
He was there standing, I flashed my handsome best friend a nervous smile and he winked at me.
I smiled with more confidence this time.
"Hey prez. Your the most beautiful person I've seen all day. Well, besides my mom," Kade whispered.
"Shh," I said sternly but couldn't help smiling.
And my other bridesmaid was Maddy. I didn't mention it, but she changed school. Which was why she wasn't at the festival.
She beamed at me, her beautiful white teeth blinding me.
I smiled back.
She grew up just as beautiful. my soon to be step sister.
I was thinking of us growing up and being here, at this spot. All of us reunited. All grown up and happy to be us.
Together, broken up, angry at each other, it didn't matter. We were all here as a team we've always been. standing strong and no big wind can make us tumble.
My Fuko, a sophisticated student just like Maddy.
My bestfriend Gabby, a surgeon in training.
My male best friend Roy, over me and a famous actor. I'm not kidding.
Bitch Queen or I'll call her Beatrice, Sane and, alive.
My to be husband, always loyal. A smartass studying
med.
And finally, me. The former president of her high school. Soon to be married.
"Elana Joy, do you take Cameron Kade as your lovely wedded husband?" I was asked.
I smiled. I didn't even need to answer that question.
