Once I thought that love was something I could never do
Never knew that I could feel this much
But this yearning in the deep part of my heart for you
Is more than a reaction to your touch
It's a perfect passion and I can't get enough"You didn't even let me ask the question." Ryan said with a teasing grin.
"I'm sorry. Go ahead and ask." I hung my head sheepishly, noticing the ring box still in his hand unopened.
"Nope. You already answered." He shook his head, but he still had the teasing grin.
"I'm impatient, I know, but you love me anyway." I batted my eyes.
"Fine. Yes, I love you anyway. So will you marry me?" He opened the box to reveal a gorgeous, sparkling round cut diamond in a platinum, diamond encrusted setting. The ring looked oddly familiar.
"Were you on my Pinterest again?" I grinned.
"Yes, but I think I asked you a question first."
I couldn't contain my smile. "Yes. You bet your sweet ass I will marry you. A thousand times yes, yes, yes." He barely had time to slip the ring onto my finger before I was pushing him back onto the bed, my lips seeking his out. This was without a doubt, the happiest day of my life. It was easy to forget that we were in a hospital room. The kiss was soft, passionate and so full of love and promise. He buried his hands into the back of my hair and deepened the kiss. We were so caught up in it, that we never heard the knock on the door. I'm not even sure how long the nurse had been standing there clearing her throat, but when we finally realized we were no longer alone, I couldn't help but blush. "I said yes." I grinned like a fool at the nurse, as my engagement ring caught the light and set off a brilliant sparkle, that I was sure paled in comparison to the sparkle in my eyes.
"Congratulations." She smiled at us, then directed her attention to Ryan. "Mr. Blaney, I have your discharge papers all in order. I'll just remove your IV and you and your fiancé can be on your way."
Fiancé. I loved the way that sounded.

I bolted out of bed in a slight panic. Shit. I overslept. I was supposed to be at Hendrick for a meeting. It was late when we got home last night, both Ryan and I were exhausted by time we had arrived home, quick showers, getting the dogs settled down and finally in bed, both of us falling asleep pretty much as soon as our heads hit the pillows.
I grabbed my phone to let them know I was running late, but saw that William had sent me a text letting me know not to worry about coming in, he knew we had gotten in late last night. I breathed a sigh of relief, glad that I didn't have to get dressed and rush out.
I gazed at the man asleep next to me, and my heart was so full. I was tempted to wake him, but the doctor had told him to take it easy for the next couple of days. It was my turn to take care of him.
I quietly climbed out of bed, and after letting the dogs out, I made my way to the kitchen. My cooking skills weren't the best, but I could at least attempt to make my fiancé breakfast. I couldn't help but smile like a fool everytime I glanced at my left hand, in awe at the way the light caught my ring and made it sparkle even more brilliantly.
I sipped on my coffee as I watched the bacon and eggs cooking on the stove, refusing to let myself become distracted and burn them, so I watched like a hawk.
"Mmmmm. My fiancé cooks too." I jumped at the sound of the raspy voice behind me, as arms circled around my waist and warm lips pressed to the side of my neck. I was so focused on watching the food, I didn't hear Ryan walk up behind me.
