"You look great by the way," Jaime compliments as he turns down another street. Finally he says something! He stared when he thought I wasn't paying attention, but I don't mind. It's not like I dress like this often anyways.

The drive feels like it's taking forever. I almost feel like backing out, but know that'd be stupid of me. Jaime is committed to his plan and I have to jump on board, whether I like it or not.

"Thanks, back at you. So are you sure Lilly is there tonight?"

He hods his head. "Has to be. If not, we can chill and have a couple of beers. Sound good?"

I shrug, "I'm down."

It'd be a shame though, if she wasn't there. A whole entire outfit and preparation for nothing. As we pull into the parking lot of this place, I know it's going to suck. I probably could've came in sweats and a t-shirt if I really wanted to. This bar is in the worse neighborhood.

Jaime opens my door for me and hand in hand we walk inside together. The obvious dominant character in this bar are old white men. I feel eyes watching us as we walk to the bar top. Once we sit down, everyone seems to go back to their own business.

"Please tell me you have the wrong bar," I half joke.

"Shit, I wish. Sorry, but a hundred more thank you's for doing this."

"What are friends for?" I smile even though in here, I'm highly uncomfortable.

"Anything I can get for you guys?" A bartender approaches us. She looks like the only decent person in here. Poor thing stuck with this crappy minimum wage job. I highly doubt people in here even tip.

Jaime orders something for us both. I'm not paying attention because I'm currently searching the room for signs of Lilly. Maybe she's in the bathroom. Maybe she's not here yet. Where ever the hell she is, she better come quick.

"Here Audrey."

I turn back in my seat to see a shot of something in front of me. I don't even bother questioning, just take it down, the burning sensation flowing down my throat. If this plan is going to go well, I need a good buzz going. The more alcohol in my system, the faster I'll begin to loosen up.

Jaime and I skim the room, then I spot her. She came from the men's bathroom, a guy following behind her.

"She's such a-"

"Slut," Jaime finishes for me.

They make their way to the dance floor and that's our cue. Together we both take one more shot before going to dance. If there's one good thing about this bar, it has to be the music. They play mostly throwbacks, which I love. They're all danceable.

Hella Good by No Doubt is currently playing. Jaime and I sway together, glancing at Lilly from time to time. She hasn't seen us yet. Jaime mouths, 'Closer.' So that's what we do. Slowly, but surely we're only a few feet away from the one and only Lilly.

Jaime gets a little bit more grabby but Lilly is still stuck in her own drunken world to notice. Jaime's beginning to get frustrated, I can tell.

She exits the floor with her mystery man and we slowly follow behind them, watching as they sit at the bar. Is this chick blind or trying to ignore us? Jaime and I are standing against this railing, contemplating on what our next move should be.

"If we're going to get anywhere," Jaime begins. "We need to get rid of that guy."

I sigh, "Or we can wait till he leaves? I don't know. We only need her to look at us for a second just so I could-"
