Five years ago today Tony passed away. I feel like today is going to be a day of mourning. Even though I did wake up with Tony next to me, I know he isn't truly there. I don't know if I should stop what we're doing or let it happen. It'd be hard to let go, he's like nicotine. I can never get enough of him.

"Get ready Drew," Tony moves the hair out of my face. He heard Lynn call me the nickname and loved it.

"Do I have to?" I whine.

He smirks, "I doubt you'd want to miss the performance the guys are gonna put on today."

He's right about that. I get up, take a quick shower, and dress into appropriate clothing for this blazing weather. After blow drying my hair I text the girls to be ready, they're carpooling with me after all.

I saw Vic leaving with Danielle earlier in the morning while throwing out the garbage. The band must have to do soundcheck and interviews. I can't imagine having to deal with that on a day one of my best friends died. Poor guys.

My phone goes off, signaling I got a text. Hannah.

'I'm ready! Super stoked.'

i'll pick you up first. be there in a few.

"Tony!" I call out.

He approaches me. "What's up?"

"I'm leaving now, are you coming?"

"You'll see me when the time comes."

It's crowded, really crowded. Lots of sweaty people huddled together in this heat is not a pleasant situation. I nearly lost Hannah and Lynn half the time. When we finally get to the main stage, we find a random security guard and show him our backstage passes.

"Right this way ladies," he gestures getting us away from all the chaos.

We make it backstage where it looks like even more chaos is going on. Crew members are going left and right. Only one thing stands out. I catch a glimpse of the guys huddled together. The sight makes me want to cry. They separate, giving each other small hugs. Before I could approach them Danielle gets in front of me, accompanied with Alysha.

"Hey, you came," she smiles giving me a hug.

After introducing the girls to both of them, Danielle suggested we stand side stage and watch the current band playing, Issues. I remember Jaime and Hannah mentoning them to me. They really know how to get the crowd going, it's such an awesome sight. I actually feel like getting in the crowd, being up here is cool, but people are enjoying themselves way more down there.

"Are you guys ready for Pierce The Veil?" The clean vocalist asks.

The crowd screams in responce.

"Okay then. We're gonna play one more song, it's called Hooligans!"

More screams. That song was probably my favorite from the whole set. The whole entire crowd sang along. I was having a lot of fun, the most I've had in awhile. Watching them leave the stage is sad, but I'm pumped to see Jaime, Mike, and Vic perform.

"They were awesome, right?" Danielle nudges me.

I nod my head, agreeing.

"I'm so excited to see the guys perform," Hannah says clutching her heart. "I apologize in advance if I cry."

"It's understandable," Alysha smiles putting an arm over Hannah's shoulder.

"This crowd is awesome!" Lynn yells. "I can only imagine how crazy it's gonna get when the guys hit the stage."
