I want to ditch work so badly today, but I can't. Corey has the day off today and no one else knows how to pierce. I sigh, getting up from my comfy bed.
Tony smiles at me as I groan. I hate to keep things from him, but after Danielle's reaction to that dagger, I know it's best to keep it a secret. He hasn't gave me one reason to use it, and I hope it stays that way.
"Stop smiling, it's too early for that," I mutter. Everything still has to seem normal.
He chuckles. "Want me to make you something before you go? Eggs and bacon?"
I want to tell him to come to work with me, but that wouldn't be safe, not now at least. Not with Devin strolling around. Is he some type of ghost hunter? I know it sounds stupid but I'll believe almost anything now that I'm positive ghosts are real.
"Please." I smile as he got up and made his way to the kitchen.
An hour later I go to leave. Tony stops me, grabbing my hand before I could open the door.
"Hey, you forgot this." He slides the turtle bracelet on my wrist.
"Thanks," I peck his cheek before leaving for good.
As soon as I get into the car, I take it off. Sorry Tony.

The first person to greet me once I enter the shop is Devin. Just the person I've been wanting to avoid. I shouldn't have expected to not see him at all. We do work together. He acts nothing out of the ordinary.
"What's up?"
"Nothing," I mutter going to the back. Maybe I can't avoid him, but I sure can be a bitch to him.
I find Lynn unpacking boxes full of merchandise. I begin to help and she smiles.
"You're late." She starts breaking down a box.
"Ten minutes, boo-hoo. My first appointment isn't scheduled for another hour anyways."
"I'm kidding," She chuckles. "What's gotten you all tense? Devin must've not been that good."
"Lynn," I roll my eyes. "Stop with that. I don't like Devin, he doesn't like me. Drop it."
"That's not what he told Jeff. He said, and I quote, that you were 'attractive.'"
"Well it's a stupid compliment and I'll let it pass." He's probably just trying to get under my skin. Makes it easier when my best friend ships me with him.
She stops unpacking things and sits down. "I don't get you. Is there anyone you do like?"
Yes, but telling you would be a huge risk. I'm not taking risks anymore.
"No Lynn, sorry."
She sighs. "You know what I don't get?" I wait for her to continue. "I don't get how you hang out with such cool guys and none of them fit you. Are you one of those picky ones? Do you need me to set you up?"
"Sorry but girls aren't my thing," I snap. I regret it as soon as I say it. Shit. I'm a bitch. I'm a total bitch.
She gets up. "Okay, I see how it is."
"Lynn I didn't mean-"
"I get it." She leaves the room.
I couldn't leave everything out of place so I begin to fix it. Why do I have to reflect my problems on other people? Lynn didn't deserve that. Who knows how long she'll be pissed at me. Space is what she needs right now before I try and talk to her. After I'm done putting everything where it's supposed to go, I go back into the front.
