Everything went back to normal. Danielle and Vic live happily without any problems. Tony and I still talk for hours until the crack of dawn. Even though Hannah is leaving, we act as if she isn't. It all feels so fake to me.
Fake.
I still have the same feelings for Tony. That hasn't changed and I don't know for how long it would last. I try not to think of that though. I try to focus on the present, that's all that really matters anyways.
Tonight, Bring Me The Horizon are having their show here in San Diego. Since Hannah is still with Oliver, we're all immediately invited. P-T-V guys are included since they're long time friends of the band.
I'm excited to see Mike, Alysha, but mostly Jaime. We haven't talked in what feels like ages. He always reminds me to have some fun. Since Tony knows I'm going to be with them, he doesn't feel like tagging along. Seeing his friends happy makes him mourn, which I get.
A knock on the front door causes me to quickly throw on my shoes and open it. Lynn's my transportation tonight.
After a quick greeting we're in her car, on the way to the sold out venue. I did worry about having to deal with a bunch of aggressive sweaty people in general admission, but since Hannah is with the band, we get to enjoy the concert from side stage. Oh, the perks of being friends with the lead singer's girlfriend.
"You excited?" Lynn asks pulling into the parking garage next to the venue.
"It's gonna be nuts," I reply. "I'm gonna miss her so much."
She nods her head in agreement. "It's okay, we'll still have each other."
>>>
We find Hannah near the back of the venue where she told us to meet up. Soon, we're being escorted backstage. It's a cool, yet weird feeling. I've never experienced anything like this. Sure, I went to Warped Tour, but this is different. I feel the little fangirl inside of me begging to come out.
All of the crew are rushing things on and off stage for the next band. They remind me of a bunch of bees buzzing around. Hannah takes us to a green room where everyone else is currently chilling. By everyone I mean, all of P-T-V, their girlfriends, B-M-T-H, co-workers, and Issues.
There are other guys there too. I don't find out who they are until Hannah informs me that their band is called 'Of Mice and Men.' I'm familiar with some of their music, but not all.
So yea, we're pretty cozy in this room. A lot of things are happening at once, but I finally find a place to sit, right next to Jaime. The guy I've been wanting to talk to. He notices me immediately and smiles.
"Long time, no see amigo." He gives me a side hug, placing his chin on my forehead.
"Right? How've you been?" I pull away.
He goes to talk but is interrupted by some girl. Didn't see her when I came in here.
"That was my spot," She spits. Okay, I wasn't expecting that tone. Before I can defend myself, Jaime speaks up.
"No problem babe." He pulls her onto his lap. "Just sit here. Audrey this is my girlfriend, Lilly."
"Of course she is." I smile.
Has it really been that long since I talked to Jaime? Now he has some girlfriend? It really isn't any of my business but she seems like bad news. He can do so much better.
She rolls her eyes at me and yet again I'm very uncomfortable. What the hell is an average girl supposed to do in this situation? I've never been in a green room before. I don't know what happens in here. Lynn takes me away from the awkward situation by pulling me from my seat.
"Hannah wants us to take a picture together," She tells me.
I nod my head and soon we're by her side. Well this is better. After a quick photo I'm pretty much in the middle of the room. Not knowing what to do, I sorta find my own corner. I never minded being the wallflower. Observing is what I do best.
At first I'm not sure if I'm seeing things correctly, but then I realize Tyler Carter is walking towards me. This is a pretty big deal to me since I adore Issues and his solo stuff. Everything he and the band comes up with never fail to amaze me. It's different and risky, which I love.
"You looked lonely." He smiles.
"Can't say that I am anymore." I smile back. That sudden boost of confidence came out of nowhere.
"I'm Tyler." He holds out his hand for me to shake. The fangirl is literally screaming inside of me to say, Yea, I already knew that. Instead, I keep my cool.
I shake his hand. "Audrey. I'm also a huge fan of your work."
"What can I say? I'm a man of many talents. So, you're a friend of Hannah's?" He had to have asked about me. How else would he know that?
"Friend slash co-worker."
"You tattoo too?"
"No," I shake my head. "I pierce people with needles instead."
"Ouch," He jokes. "So is this your first time backstage?"
"Second." I notice how bland and boring I'm being. If I want this guy to remember me I need to be more interesting. "It's a cool experience. You nervous to play?" At least it's a start.
"No, it's actually really fun. Are you planning on watching?"
"Only if you guys play Princeton Avenue." I wink.
"Duh," He jokes.
Just then Issues' manager calls them out of the room. They're going on in ten minutes. B-M-T-H and O-M-A-M take this time to get photos professionally done by this photographer named Adam.
The rest of us are watching standby. All of these guys are hilarious together, that's for sure. If they had their own reality show, I'd watch it for sure.
"Sup?" Corey nudges me from beside. This is the first time he talked to me all night.
I shrug. "Nothing much. Why didn't you bring your lady friend?"
"She had to work tonight. Anyways, you look nice."
It's been awhile since I actually put effort into an outfit. I'm wearing a white crop tee with black high wasted shorts. My legs are covered in fishnets and I have my favorite chucks on.
"Thanks, you don't look like shit yourself." He really never does, to be honest. I feel like he actually takes his time picking out all of his outfits.
He chuckles, "Why thank you, I try my best."
Soon Issues can be heard from the room. Lynn grabs my hand and all of us girls rushed to side stage. The guys wanted to waste more time in the green room. They've probably seen Issues' set plenty of times anyways.
Danielle gets dangerously close to me and I want to get away, but can't. That is unless I want to run onstage, but I'm not that desperate. We haven't really talked since that day she came back from the hospital. If we did it was small talk, and in front of Vic.
"This is your second time seeing them, right?" She asks naturally.
She's good at this pretending thing, real good. Sometimes I'm fooled by her wicked kindness.
"Yea," I reply smoothly.
"Stop being so tense, you're killing the vibe," She smirks. "Listen, I like you as a person. I don't want to throw away what we had just because of some asshole."
"He's not-"
"Excuse my language," She corrects herself. "Friends again?" She holds out her hand.
Reluctantly, I shake it.
