Caitlin woke up with a smile on her face, the same smile she's had on for the past few weeks. She looked up in bed and found Savitar, fast asleep, only making her smile wider.
He stirred around and blinked a few times to wake up. "Mmm, good morning, beautiful." He kissed Caitlin's stomach.
"Excuse me? I'm here too, you know." Caitlin crossed her arms with a pout.
Savitar laughed, "of course. My sexy, strong, beautiful girlfriend." He kissed her passionately.
"I-oh no, I need a-"
Within a second Savitar flashed out and back with a trash can which Caitlin threw up in.
"Urgh," she groaned, "this is disgusting."
Savitar made a face, "definitely."
She pushed him away, "seriously?"
"I still love you." He lowered himself down to her stomach, "Hey, honey. Daddy needs you to help mommy feel better, okay?"
Caitlin laughed, "I don't think it can hear you yet."
He shrugged, "it's never too early."
"And you're the man who tried to kill Iris?" She teased.
"What can I say? Love changes a man."
They started to get out of bed when they heard a clatter in the kitchen. The couple looked at each other and ran out to find Ron.
"Ron?" Caitlin asked, in shock.
He jerked back in surprise, "Caitlin, Savitar. Good morning! And Merry Christmas!"
"Christmas?" Savitar scrunched his brows.
"You guys don't have that on your earth?"
"No, I mean, yeah, we do. But," Caitlin ran to her phone to check the date, "wow, it's the 25th."
"That's kind of unbelievable," Savitar laughed, "where were we that last couple of days?"
"Probably worrying about Matthew and the baby. You guys barely recognized the date! Sit, I'm almost down with breakfast anyways."
Caitlin looked at Savitar in confusion. Ron saw this exchange and laughed.
"I know what you guys are thinking: 'how is Ron - always mad and some-what of a workaholic - excited for Christmas?' I get it."
"What? Noooo," Caitlin tried to argue.
"No, without a doubt, that's what we were thinking," Savitar shrugged, and Caitlin rolled her eyes.
"It's just that Christmas was always the one holiday my family and I always celebrated. My son, Jack, loved the lights and snow; it was his favourite. He and Crystal made me love it too."
"Awww, Ron. That's adorable. You never really talk about your family."
"Yeah, well..." He put his head down, "I wish I could see him right now."
"I'm sure there's someone on earth-98 who's caring for him right now," Savitar tried to help and Ron smiled at him.
"I hope so."
****************
That evening, the team got together at Joe's house for a Christmas dinner. The house was filled with laughter and cheer, along with glimmering lights and an enormous Christmas tree, decorated by two helpful speedsters.
