Imagine you were watching one of those shows. The one you don't really want to watch because it's old and boring. Yet, you had nothing else to do and something about the show made you glue your eyes to the television, unable to keep away.
Earth-98 was similar to that show. It was a beautiful place, corrupted by Matthew's touch. Even though his powers were fire, bright and hot, the world itself was dark. Black branches, ash on houses, there was no laughter, no noise at all.
"It's like a ghost town," Cisco remarked.
Just then, a portal opened. Out came a small boy, probably around 5 years old. He had dark brown hair and a refreshing bright smile. Somehow, he still held his child-like features, even in the war-zone.
He jumped out, only to open another portal and vanish, continuing the act until Harry stopped him.
"Little boy! Where are your parents?"
Caitlin gave him a glare, "he's not villain, Harry. He's a child."
The boy stared back at them in fright, but as soon as his eyes fell upon Frost, he let out a happy yell.
"Mommy!" He ran to her and hugged her legs.
Frost looked at Ron, in the same frightened expression the boy had earlier.
"J-Jack?" Ron whispered, unbelievably.
The boy turned around with a smile, "that's me!"
"I'm sorry kid, but that's not your mom," Cisco said.
Jack's eyebrows scrunched together, "but-but, you look just like her."
Caitlin and Savitar looked at each other; this was going to harder than they thought.
Jack suddenly stumbled back, "why do I see two of everything?" He stared at Caitlin and Savitar and then Frost and Barry.
Suddenly, he started to run away. At super speed.
"What the hell? Wasn't he just jumping through dimensions a while ago?" Cisco asked.
"Like you. Now he's running like Barry and Savitar," Harry stated.
"He can manipulate powers?" Barry asked.
Frost sighed, "well, someone go catch him so we can figure it out."
Savitar whooshed out and back with Jack in his arms, wailing.
"Get away from me! I don't like you!" He cried out.
Savitar put him down and stepped back awkwardly.
Caitlin laughed and crouched down to Jack's eye-level.
"Hi, Jack. I'm Caitlin. You can call me Cait, or Caity, if that helps."
"H-Hi Caity," he said shyly.
"We're Team Flash. We help people and save the world."
"Superheroes?"
"Yeah, in a way," she nodded.
"Sometime ago, your dad came to us for help."
"My dad? He's here?"
"Yeah, this is him," she pointed at Ron. "Do you remember him?"
He shook his head, "Uncle Matt said my dad was gone and that he'll never come back."
Ron's eyes stung, tears fighting to fall out. He felt like he was stabbed in the heart. His own son. Matthew had the audacity to tell his son he had died. Frost placed a hand on his shoulder.
