"Y/n you have received another mission, head north immediately, a demon lives in a northern village and is currently terrorizing the villagers" your crow informed you after landing onto your shoulder "Great! Kanroji-san is inside whipping up a storm of pancakes and I don't feel like getting stuffed again," you said with a chuckle as you jumped off the engawa.

 "Wouldn't it be rude to just leave?" Your crow said, "Eh, I'll write her an apology letter!" You spoke out, giving your crow a thumbs up with a smile as you jumped over Kanroji's fence "I suppose, it's better than no explanation at all" your crow responded. You had been running for quite some time, following the directions of your crow.

Meanwhile with Kanroji

"Y/n! I finished your pancakes!!" Kanroji said with a wide smile as she skipped down the engawa, holding a large plate of pancakes and toast with honey drizzled on them. "Geh?! She's gone..." Kanroji mumbled, turning her head attempting to find you "Awe, she's gone" Kanroji said with a frown.

"The sun is setting pretty soon, so it won't be long till the demon makes a move," you said, jumping roof to roof "How far north are we? It's snowing like crazy, it's pretty much a blizzard out here, and it's freezing," you said with a shiver as you rubbed your arms. 

"We're not that far north, Y/n, it is supposed to be summer the demons technique is causing such absurd weather," your crow said "Seriously?" You groaned "Yes" your crow replied snuggling into the crook of your neck.

 "Right, you must be freezing too, huh?" You said as you removed your haori, wrapping your crow in it and cradling him "Y/n, I am grateful for your actions but please put your haori on, this is quite embarrassing for me and you will freeze it does not matter if I catch a cold or receive frostbite, I'm the messenger, not the swordsmen so please put your haori back on" your crow said.

 "Look at what we have here, a demon hunter" a voice spoke out from behind you, you turned around to see a demon, a male demon.

 The demon had dark blue hair, eyes and eyes lashes, his lips were a light blue, his skin was incredibly pale, he wore a plain brown eye patch on his left eye, he had two horns coming out of the top of his head, he wore a large beige coat, and his face showed no sign of emotion.

 "Oh, you're a female, what's your name?" the demon asked "L/n Y/n" you spat out, placing your hand on your katanas hilt "What a beautiful name Y/n, I am Kazuyuki, you shouldn't be out in the cold like this you'll catch a cold or freeze to death, here take this and please leave I don't wish or any trouble," Kazuyuki said as he threw his coat at you and began to walk away.

 You caught the coat and stared at the demon waiting for him to attack but he didn't, he just continued to walk away "I can't do that, I have a job to fulfil" you spoke out, Kazuyuki stopped and slowly turned around "I figured you would say that" he said as he raised to fingers and flicked them down.

 The coat suddenly turned into a spiky ball of ice; you flipped your body back just in time if you were too slow you would have been impaled but that somewhat wouldn't matter. 

"I often respect females but I won't hesitate to kill them if needed now I'll be giving you another opportunity to leave, please be wise and take it," Kazuyuki said as he stared at you showing no sign of emotion.
