The two males stopped their brawl, they stood on opposite sides of one another the two were a few meters apart.

Rengoku's pants echoed in your ears, but you no longer felt the need to cry or run away because you knew what you had to do.

'He has eternal damage I stopped healing Tanjiro and myself awhile back and now I'm saving up my energy for Rengoku-san's wounds' you thought has you grubbed the bottom of your uniform.

You knew deep down that Rengoku wasn't going to win this battle and since the sun was rising you knew the demon would have no choice but to flee. You weren't able to join the battle because of your wounds and you would only slow down Rengoku. So you decided to save what's left of energy for his wounds after the battle.

"Don't die on me Kyojuro" Akaza spoke out the only response he received was the pants of the flame hashira, Rengoku Kyojuro.

"Even if you fight with the intention to sacrifice your body, it's all pointless Kyojuro. The wonderful slashed you had attacked me with have already healed. But, how about you? Your left eye is smashed, your ribs are broken, and your organs are wounded. If you were a demon those wounds would have healed in the blink of an eye, and they'd be nothing but mere scratches... No matter how much you struggle human beings cannot beat demons" Akaza said.

The sounds that Rengoku gave off suddenly changed, his scent changed as well and his heart quickened its paste.

"I will fulfill my duties! I won't allow you to retrieve the girl and I will not let anyone die here!!" Rengoku yelled as he brought his sword over his head.

"What a wonderful fighting spirit! Despite all your wounds you continue to fight!! And your stance has no openings! You should really become a demon Kyojuro!! Let's continue to fight for all eternity!!!" Akaza yelled as he readied himself.

The two males leapt at one other leaving a large trail of dust, the dust around them picked up once more.

'I can't see them!' You panicked and within a few moments, the dust began to settle.

The demon had half of his head cut off, one arm was cut off and the other arm was puncture right through Rengoku's solar plexus.

'No, no, no... I can't heal that type of wound!!' You thought as your stomach dropped.

"You'll die Kyojuro! Come on Kyojuro! Tell me you'll become a demon!!" Akaza yelled.

"Aaagghhh!!" Kyojuro yelled as he raised his blade as slashed it at the neck of the demon. Akaza's missing arm regenerated.

'I've done nothing this whole time but whine and complain...' you thought and suddenly it felt as though your feet had a mind of their own.

You were running towards the two males.

"Y/n!!" Tanjiro yelled out as he just to get up, you had made it just in time and stopped the punch the upper moon through at Rengoku.

You help his fist within your arms, trying to push it back.

The sun was now rising.

The demon noticed and began to panic, he tried to pull his arm out of Rengoku but couldn't, Rengoku used his free arm to hold the demon back and the other to push the blade through his neck and you stood there holding the demons other arm.

"Get out of here!!" Akaza yelled as he tried to pull both of his arms back "Inosuke! Move!!" Tanjiro yelled as he and Inosuke ran towards you, Rengoku and the demon.

Inosuke's blade was inches from the demon and that made the demon panic even more.

Akaza used the strength within his legs to get away, he leapt up into the sky causing both of his forearms to rip off.

Upper moon three then ran for the forest.

You stood side by side with Rengoku, you watched as he plopped down to his knees.

Tanjiro ran to the forest line and began yelling at the demon.

"Oh gosh, ok umm... We have to pull his forearm out otherwise I won't be able to heal you" you said as you went to grab the arm of the demon.

"There's no need. You're quite exhausted, remember what Shinobu said if you were to use your ability too much while being exhausted it could lead to your death" Rengoku said.

"I don't care about what Shinobu-san said!! You don't have much time! So, don't fight me on this!!" You yelled as tears formed on the corner of your eyes.

"I can't have you risk your life for me, as a pillar, it is my duty to protect my juniors" Rengoku spoke out.

"It's your duty to die for those weaker than you?! For those who may never surpass you?!!" You yelled.

"I can't let you die" you mumbled.

Akaza's forearm began to fade you then tried to reach out for the male's shoulder but was stopped.

"I cannot have you risk your life for my own" Rengoku spoke out as he pushed your hand away.

"Risk my life!? How many times have you risked your life for mine?!!" You yelled as you let your emotions take control and without realizing it you had slapped the male.

You didn't care about what you just did and once again you tried to place your hands onto the male's shoulder and succeeded this time.

"I can't have you die here!! Not until I can fully repay you back for all the kindness you showed me! So many people will be heartbroken if you were to die and I cannot allow that!! Think of all those who will cry if you die, Rengoku-san!!" You yelled.

"You can't Healy wounds!!" Rengoku yelled as he tried to push you away but failed.

"I can heal you!! I will heal you!! I have to!! I'm sick and tired of being underestimated by everyone! I'm not weak anymore! I'm the keeper and it's my duty to help those in need while protecting the flower!" You screamed as your breath became raspy.

The feeling of exhaustion filled your body, your eyes become heavy.

You tried to fight it and stay awake but failed.

Your hands fell from Rengoku's shoulders and you soon fell over "it's your duty to protect the flower" the words of Rengoku was the last thing you heard before you closed your eyes.
