'Zenitsu's scent is gone...'

"Like I'm saying there's a demon at my place! It looks like this! I'm sure of it!" Inosuke yelled as he showed both you and Tanjiro off-hand symbols.

The three of you had been waiting for Uzui's arrival.

"Well.. uh... Just hold up a bit" Tanjiro said "No! Like this!!" Inosuke yelled as he moved his arms around once more.

"I think Uzui-san and Zenitsu will be arriving soon for our regular meet up" Tanjiro spoke out.

"It was like this and...!" Inosuke yelled but stopped when you spoke up.

"I don't think Zenitsu's coming" you spoke out "uh? What makes you say that?" Tanjiro asked with a concerned expression.

"She's right"

"Uzui-san..?" You breathed out as you turned to look at the male seating on the same roof as you, Inosuke and Tanjiro.

"What do you she's right?" Tanjiro asked with a concerning expression.

"I think I put you guys in terrible danger" Uzui spoke out.

"My great desire to save my wives caused me to make a mental error, Zenitsu's whereabouts are currently unknown, he stopped contacting me last night" Uzui continued.

" Y/n I sent a message via crow to Shinazugawa, he'll be here tomorrow morning to come and pick you up. So, in the meantime don't get yourself caught by the demon. Tanjiro and Inosuke, the two of you get out of here now. Your tanks are too low, if the demon here is an 'upper moon', you cannot deal with them. I will regard those who have stopped contacting me dead from here on, I will move on my own" Uzui said as he stood up.

"Huh?!! That's not fair, Uzui-san!! You dragged us all the way here to eliminate a demon and I'm not leaving until we do so and I'm certainly not leaving if one of my friends is in danger because Zenitsu is not dead nor are your wives!! I don't care if Shinazugawa-san is coming here tomorrow, I'll fight him off if I have to!!" You yelled.

"Don't be so immature, your pride is talking here. Don't be ashamed, winners stay alive. Don't mess this opportunity up" Uzui spoke out before suddenly vanishing.

"Maybe he doesn't believe in us because we're members of the lowest class" Tanjiro spoke out.

"I'm not" you spoke out.

"Huh?" Tanjiro mumbled "I'm not at the lowest rank," you said once more.

"Yeah, we're currently at the kanoe rank right now. We're higher up now, the fourth lowest on the chain" Inosuke spoke out.

"Show is our ranks!" Both you and Inosuke said, slightly raising your voice and fist.

On the back of your hand was the word 'tsuchinoe' and on Inosukes had was the word 'kanoe'.

"Hey Inosuke, I'm stronger than you. I'm two ranks ahead of you" you said as you gave the boy a devilish grin.

"Aaagghh?!!" Inosuke yelled.

"What the hell" Tanjiro muttered out "huh? You didn't know about this?" Inosuke asked, "Yeah, didn't your hand feel all tingling and itchy and the wisteria mountains?" You added one.

"I remember feeling an itch but I was too tired..." Tanjiro thought as he looked down at his hand.

"Cheer up!!" Inosuke yelled as he hit the male on the back.

"Yeah! Now's not the time!! We should make our plan to deceive Uzui-san!" You yelled as you poked the male's forehead.

"Right! Sorry, my bad!! When night falls I and Y/n will head over to the ogimoto house, where you'll be. Wait for us until we arrive, acting alone will be dangerous" Tanjiro said.

"Why?!!" Inosuke yelled "Today we'll finish investigating the house we're currently in" Tanjiro replied.

"I'm telling you there's a demon in my house! So, come over now!! You really are a total dumbass!!" Inosuke yelled as he grabbed ahold of the male's cheek.

"Hyor wong!" Tanjiro mumbled "Huuhh?!" Inosuke groaned as he began to hit the red-haired boy on the head.

"Uzui-san is keeping watch of the stores at night, right? Ow, ow, ow. But Zenitsu still disappeared and the demon in your house managed to hide itself. Ow, ow stop hitting me now" Tanjiro spoke out.

"What're you saying? The only way that'd be possible if they could go invisible.... Or they have hidden passageways!!" You spoke up.

"Tanjiro, you're a genius!" You cheered as your raised both hands into the air.

"Passageways?" Inosuke mumbled as he stopped hitting the male.

"Yeah, it makes sense. Uzui-san hasn't spotted any demons entering or leaving the stores, so there's a high chance that they have passages within the buildings" You explained.

"It makes a lot of sense. The demons work in brothels, which means if they're acting tactfully as humans. They'd have to do their murders for discreetly so people wouldn't notice" you continued.

"I see, it would take a long time because blood doesn't just disappear. It would take time to clean up" Inosuke said as he rubbed a hand on his chin.

"This is a night district, so demons will find it some things convenient for them. They'll have to work at night otherwise people will start to question them" Tanjiro spoke out.

"I believe Zenitsu and Uzui-san's wives are all still alive and I will act with that in mind. I'll save them for sure and I want the two of you to..." Tanjiro added on.

"They are alive," you said, cutting Tanjiro off "huh?" Tanjiro mumbled in response "they're alive, I can sense them. It's faint but they're still here, I can't pinpoint their exact location though" you explained.

"Well, why didn't you say something when Uzui-san was here?" Tanjiro asked "I did" you replied.

'Y/n is late? We agreed to meet up here at sun fall and I can't smell her..?' Tanjiro thought as he waited patiently at the spot the two of you agreed to meet at.

"Ah... ah... ah... Sorry, I'm late, there was another customer and the mistress was chasing me down again" you breathed out.

"It's alright but your not changed yet" Tanjiro replied.

"Huh, oh right! Those mice brought my uniform and katana to my room, right? Go on without me, I'll catch up" you said as you began to run down the halls once more.

You continued to run down the halls until you arrived in your room. 'It's not here...' you thought as you began to look around your room for your katana and uniform.

And moments later something fell onto your head "my uniform!" You breathed out with a large smile.

You looked up at the ceiling and there were Uzui's mice, the mice then Megan to lower your katana and wakizashi down. You grabbed it from them "thank you" you muttered out.

The mice then closed the roof and ran off.

You began to undo your kimono, untying the obi and removing the various layers of fabric.

You then began to put your uniform bottoms on, then your shoes and you then reached out for your uniform.

Swoosh

Something rushed into your room and without hesitation, you unsheathed your wakizashi and held it in front of you.

In the corner of your room stood a black-haired girl, the demon.

Within her eyes was the number '6'. You stood face to face with upper moon six.

Also, the katana you received from Shinazugawa, I've decided to change it to a wakizashi.

If you are unsure of what a wakizashi is it's just a katana but much smaller.

Also, Tanjiro mentions that he isn't able to smell you and that's because the stronger the keeper the harder it is to smell, sense and hear them coming.

If a keeper wishes to sneak up on something, there only weakness would be sight.
