Tengen noticed his wife Hinatsuru and Y/n tumble over onto the other side of one of the stores, he had planned on coming to check on the two girls but had no time due to Gyutaru constantly throwing attacks at him.

It was then when Uzui noticed the two girls in the corner of his eye, Hinatsuru had an unconscious Y/n on her back, Hinatsuru gave Uzui a thumbs up before running off into the near distance.

The feeling of relief washed over Uzui when he laid eyes on the two girls.

Hinatsuru ran into a near forest, trying to get Y/n to safety. Hinatsuru's body was throbbing 'I can't stop I've been useless this whole time, this is the least I can do' she thought as she continued to run despite the pain she was feeling.

Hinatsuru continuously inhaled and exhaled, her chest felt heavy as she jumped over puddles, rocks, and fallen trees.

Hinatsuru heard a crack in the near distance, she turned her head towards the noise and saw nothing "I got you now!!" A male voice yelled out from the opposite side, Hinatsuru turned her head and in the sky above was a demon.

The demon had a foul grin as he fell towards the two girls, his arm reached back as he was preparing to claw at the two girls. A gasp left Hinatsuru's mouth as she realized the action's of the demon too late.

Hinatsuru was shoved to the ground, while Y/n fell to the ground as well just a few feet away from Hinatsuru, an endless amount of coughs left Hinatsuru's mouth as she watched the demon approach Y/n's limp body.

Hinatsuru continuously tried to crawl towards Y/n but she couldn't move, she wasn't healed from the poison she consumed prior to the attack and she's gained new injuries since then. "S... Stop... Getaway... From her" Hinatsuru coughed out as she held herself up with her arms.

The demon stopped in its tracks and turned to face Hinatsuru, he only gave her a wide grin as he turned back towards Y/n's body.

"Stop it!" Hinatsuru yelled out as she tried to pick herself up once more, the demon was now mere inches from Y/n's body "That man will be so pleased" the demon grumbled. Hinatsuru was straining herself as she tried to get up once more.

"Stop it Hinatsuru, you're hurting yourself" a voice spoke out as she felt a hand on her back, the hand pushed Hinatsuru back onto the ground, Hinatauru's eyes widened as she turned her head to face whoever was behind her.

"Makio! There's someone under here!" Suma yelled out as tears formed in the corner of her eyes, Makio nodded and then ran over to assist Suma. The two girls lifted the fallen wall of the person "Crawl out, dammit" Makio spoke out, slightly raising her voice.

A young girl crawled out from under the wall, once the young girl crawled out Makio and Suma dropped the wall. "Are you injured!?" Suma mumbled out as she rushed to the girl.

"My... My ankle" the young girl sniffled as she pointed to her right ankle "It's broken" Makio said as she inspected the girl's ankle. "Oh no, you poor thing! We'll get you some antibiotics and bandages!!" Suma spoke out in a worrisome tone.

Suma was rummaging through a small pouch she had been carrying, the pouch had been carrying small amounts of medicine, antibiotics and bandages "Makio, I'm out of supplies do you have any more" Suma asked as she turned to look at Makio.

Makio had the same pouch, containing the same things as Suma's.

"I'm out too, dammit" Makio scoffed as she rummaged through her pouch. "Where's Hinatsuru she might have some?" Suma asked "Hinatsuru? The last I saw her was when she had left the house she was sent to when she poisoned herself" Makio replied.

When the battle began, Suma and Makio were released from within the sash and ordered by Uzui to help the civilians escape with the assistance of a couple of kakushi that had arrived, they headed towards the lower class brothels, the brothels where they send the ill or 'undesirable' or 'low class' women.

On their way there Makio and Suma had come across Hinatsuru, Hinatsuru claimed there was something she had to do and refused the help Suma and Makio had offered.

"Me too" Suma replied as she began to fiddle with her fingers.

"Caw caw,Hinatsuru and Y/n L/n are in danger! Hinatsuru had carried Y/n L/n away from the fight because she had fallen unconscious but the two girls are being tracked by a demon! Save them!" Y/n's crow yelled out as he flew towards Suma and Makio.

"What!? We... We can't!" Suma bursts out.

"Caw, only the two of you are the ones experienced with fighting that is available at this moment!" Y/n's crow yelled once more.

"Understood, let's go, lead us to them" Makio spoke out "Hey you! Come take care of this girl!" Makio yelled out to a nearby kakushi "Mhm!" The kakushi hummed as he came to the girl's aid.

"Right this way, caw!"

Hinatsuru turned her head and there she saw Suma "Suma! You have to help her!" Hinatsuru said as she slightly raised her voice "I... I can't" Suma said as tears began to fall down her cheeks "I'm too weak... So, Makio will do it just as we planned" Suma said as she continued to cry and held her kunai close to her chest.

Hinatsuru turned to face the demon when she heard a loud painful shriek come from its direction, Hinatsuru saw Makio standing above the demon with her kunai stabbed into its neck.

Makio had jumped on the demon from above and stabbed its neck with her weapon, Makio then began to drag the demon towards a tree "Suma!" Makio yelled out, Suma then tossed a rope towards Makio.

Makio began to tie the demon around the trunk of the tree, Makio's kunai wasn't made of the same material as the colour changing katana's, so there was no point in cutting its head off because it would be defective but her kunai was laced with wisteria poison, so it left the demon unable to move.

The demon was unconscious "The sun will take its life" Makio said as she stood up and walked towards Y/n's unconscious body, Makio then picked up the limp girl and placed her onto her back, she then walked towards Suma and Hinatsuru.

"Caw! Sanemi Shinazugawa is nearby! I relayed a message to him, he's come to receive Y/n L/n! Follow me and I'll lead you to him!" Y/n's crow yelled from above the trees.

"Hinatsuru are you okay to walk?" Makio asked as she approached the two girls "Yeah, I'm alright" she replied as Suma helped her up. "Let's go," Makio said as she started to walk off, Hinatsuru and Suma nodded their heads and the three of them ran off, taking Y/n with them.
