"... REST ASSURED THAT my team's doing their work right. The target date for the construction to be finished is five months, right? Expect us to finish it earlier than the given time," Engr. Yasha Suarez-Cordova said while looking straight to Lucas' eyes. Nasa tabi naman si Julia ng kaniyang boss at tahimik lang na pinagmamasdan ang dalawa na mag-usap.

She can't take her eyes off from the engineer who's acting professionally kahit na pinakilala nito ang sarili na kaibigan ni Lucas. The two can talk casually because they're friends. But she can see how good they are to their  chosen career. The professionalism. She's inspired.

"I might visit the sight at the end of the month... Maybe after settling our issues down," Lucas replied.

"It's okay. Architect Suarez will be in Vigan this weekend. You can ask her for updates."

Napatingin si Julia sa katabing babae ni Engr. Cordova nang umungot ito. Between the four of them, ito lang ang kanina pa wala sa konsentrasyon sa pinag-uusapan dahil panay ang pag-type nito sa hawak na cellphone.

If she remembered it right, the architect was Engr. Cordova's younger sister. Pero kung pagmamasdan, hindi nalalapit ang itsura at ugali ng dalawa. Kung hindi lang dahil sa apilyedo, hindi mo masasabing magkapatid ang mga ito.

"Pupunta ako sa Vigan for the preparations of my wedding, Ate. Baka wala akong time bumisita sa Estate," nakabusangot na sabi nito.

Yasha sighed before shaking her head. "Just do a stroll, take a picture, and leave the site. Hindi ka naman magtatagal, Armee."

"You're getting married?" Kunot-noong tanong ni Lucas sa dalaga.

"Yeah! Hindi ba nasabi ni Eros sa iniyo?" Armee dramatically flipped her hair. "You've been out of reach... Kayo ni Luci. I can't even contact Kyle to ask for her help. I want her to lead the preparations kaya!"

"We're facing a problem right now, Armee. Baka hindi pa maharap ni Faye."

"Kaya nga ang sabi ko sa kanila ni Eros, hintayin muna nilang umayos ang problema ni Kyle at Luci bago sila gumalaw para sa wedding preparations. But they're so stubborn!" Yasha exclaimed.

"Ayoko kasing iba ang humawak ng preparations. Besides, Kyle is my friend and Eros' best friend. Magtatampo rin 'yon kapag hindi siya ang kinuha para maging wedding planner namin." Nagpalumbaba si Armee sa mesa.

Julia was lost. Kanina ay tungkol lang sa business ang pinag-uusapan nila. Bakit napunta sa kasal?

She was taken aback when Armee glanced at her. Kung may makakakita sa kanilang dalawa ng dalaga, panigurado ay iisipin ng mga ito na sila ang magkapatid. Their sharp and flirty eyes gave other people the same gaze. Her resting bitch face was worse than Armee's rugged expression, but have the same impact to other people. Parang laging naghahamon ng away ang mga mukha nila.

Palihim siyang ngumuso. If she's not hiding her real identity, siguro ay kaibigan na niya ngayon si Armee. Alam niyang magki-click agad silang dalawa.

"Julia, right?" Armee said while looking straight at her. Tumango siya. "Do you know someone who's a great event planner and organizer? Better than Kyle? If you know Kyle Lorraine Faye Castillo, she's a top-tier. Kung may kilala kang mas magaling sa kaniya, maybe you have an awesome taste."

Nagbukas-sara ang kaniyang bibig. She doesn't know if she's being sarcastic or just talking genuinely. Ghad. Ang hirap pa lang may kausap na kasing ugali ko.
