"Draco,"

Draco felt like a knife had been stabbed through his heart.

He knew he's the one who shouldn't feel like that, Coraline should. She shouldn't even be wrapped in his arms right now- not with everything he said to her. She should be slapping him, telling him that he doesn't deserve her and that Draco was never going to see her again.

But she wasn't. Because while Draco was staring up at his ceiling with pure anger and sadness towards himself, Coraline was settled onto his chest while she took small, peaceful breaths as she slept. Her legs were tangled up with his, her arm draped across his body while her head was positioned on the top right corner of his bare chest with his own arms securing her tight.

She had no clue what he had just relived.

She had no clue what built up anger was inside of his head right now, she didn't know that he was currently struggling to breathe and it wasn't because she was weighing him down.

He knew he didn't deserve a second chance.

He knew he didn't deserve that fragile little fifth year Ravenclaw, who just loved to study and instead fell in love with her best friend. He knew he didn't deserve the big hearted girl who thought that even the littlest things matters such as helping a duck cross the street.

She was simply too pure for him, and he knew this. It made him upset, but with every word and every emotion that she had spoken that night only made him want to shrink down into a hole. Because she was right- he didn't try to sleep with her like he did everyone else. He wanted her first time to be when she wanted, and he wasn't going to push her because he himself didn't think that he wanted to just shag her and leave. Deep down in his heart back in Hogwarts, he knew he wanted something more but he was just an angry boy that didn't know how to give an ounce of love.

Draco stroked Coralines arms soothingly, causing her to stir in her sleep for a split second before she nuzzled her head deeper into the crook of his neck.

He seriously wanted to rip his heart out and give it to her an a silver platter just to show how sorry he was.

And he'd make up for it the rest of his life, because having a dream mixed with a flashback was like a wake up call for him. It was screaming at him to cherish her, to apologize for what he said because he had yet to do that. He knew he needed to but he was so scared that she wouldn't let him apologize, that she'd brush it off because she didn't want to talk about it.

But he knew her, and he knew she still wanted an apology.

Who wouldn't?

"Draco," Coralines voice rang in his ears, her sleepy state nearly causing her to fall back asleep. "Why are you awake."

He didn't have an answer, because he wasn't just going to tell her sorry then. It was maybe about 4 in the morning, the city lights behind his bed and through the glass window was making him want to fall asleep again but he was so scared.

All he could think about was that night and forward. How everything changed with her, how she didn't look the same at all. "Just couldn't sleep, Love." He gave a simple response, trying not to make her rise from his chest and wait until he fell asleep because he knew she was somebody to do that. "Go back to sleep, I'm okay."

"Your lying," she gently licked her lips and held onto him tighter. "But whatever you say."

When Draco woke up the next morning, he left Coraline in bed to take a shower.

He couldn't take it anymore- he didn't want to cry, because he knew he felt weak whenever he did but he couldn't handle it. He felt awful, he felt like he didn't deserve to have the life he had at the moment. All the money, the fame that came with being a Malfoy, having the girl he was in love with in his bed when he knew he treated her awful- he didn't deserve any of that.

Not a single bit.

Yet somehow Coraline had managed to give him a second chance, and despite the fact that Draco didn't know it, she didn't regret it.

When the bathroom door opened softly, he knew who it was. So he tried to stop himself from letting more tears fall out of his eyes but it didn't work- nothing ever seemed to work.

A pair of arms wrapped around his body, before forcefully turning him around and he refused to look at Coraline, he refused to see her while he was trying to fight off tears.

"We're never going to work if you don't talk to me, Draco." Her small, gentle voice spoke below him. "You woke up last night twice, and now your crying. You don't have to hide anything from me-."

"I never told you sorry." He finally looked down on her, watching her face contour in confusion. "I never apologized to you for what happened in hogwarts and you- you never got to tell me how much you hated me."

"Draco I don't hate you-."

"I wouldn't blame you if you did," he wept, wiping his nose with his knuckles before he felt her arms tighten around him. "I don't deserve you- everybody knows this. You know it, I know it, Pansy knows it-."

"Your not leaving me," she told him sternly, wrapping her arms around his neck and jumping, making him grasp onto her so she could be in his arms again. "Yes, I'll admit it. I hated you in school after what you told me, I didn't think anybody could be as much as a bitch than you. You made me fall for you and then you told me some horrible things, Draco."

He looked down in shame, another small tear slipping out of his eye. He swore he didn't mean it, he didn't mean anything that he told her and if he could relive that day, he'd make her feel like she was the only person in the world who mattered to him. He'd tell her how much he was in love with her, and continued to never let anybody talk about her.

But he couldn't. There was no way for him to relive that moment. And Coraline took the pad of her thumb, wiping away his tear while her hand slid down to cup his cheek and make him look her in the eyes.

"But now," she looked into his eyes with love. "You've proven to me that you truly are sorry. And I could understand why you feel horrible, honestly I think you should've but it's over now. I've let it go, I'm okay."

She pressed her lips to his, her legs securing around his waist even though he had her held up by her thighs. He kissed her back, his breath studdering as he did due to crying, and he held her against him tighter.

She kissed him harder, feeling their bare bodies collide together and he didn't want to ever let go. Hearing her say that she had forgiven him was like lifting all of the extra weight off of his chest and finally caused him to breathe. He was relieved that she wasn't upset anymore- that she didn't have a grudge held on him.

"I love you," she breathed into the kiss, the heat of her skin driving Draco insane.

Her back collided with a wall, Dracos dominance taking over. "I love you more."
