"Draco!"
Draco was going to purpose to Coraline.
She was now five months pregnant, and her baby bump had very much grown. Draco had been taking care of her the whole time, he never once left her side. Of course there were times where it got bad, but he never gave up on her- he always stayed by her side.
But one time his heart completely broke for her- he couldn't imagine what type of pain she had to go through.
"Draco- it hurts," Coraline whispered, her eyes becoming tears as she leaned against Dracos chest.
They'd been sitting in the bathtub for the past 20 minutes, letting Coraline have a break and at least try to cool her down. She'd woken up in the middle of the night, sobbing because of the striking pain in her lower stomach and up her entire body.
This pregnancy was not easy for her- Draco knew that, he knew that it would hurt her in ways that would break his heart. But he also knew that she could get through it, and eventually she would.
"I know, Love." He kissed her forehead lightly as he tried to calm her down. "I wish I could take it away- I'm really sorry."
She whimpered in pain, her body aiming to turn sideways on his chest while the water swished. It somehow always felt better like this, when she turned to the side, her head laying on his chest and between his legs as the warm water engulfed her. He rubbed her belly very gently, making her release a sigh that told him it was calming the flame that would occasionally flare up.
He started to hum to her, watching her eyes flutter shut at the sound of his voice soothing her. The rhythm of his hum was sending vibrations through her body as his other hand tangled in her hair, massaging her scalp and helping her calm down even more.
Of course, there were times where his heart felt complete.
"Draco!" Coralines voice echoed through his penthouse, causing him to immediately stop what he was doing and rush towards her.
He'd been in the library, picking out a book to read to her for bed. He often did that now, always read to her so she could sleep better, it always took her mind off of the pain that would sometimes occur right before she tried to sleep.
His feet started to stride into their bedroom - it wasn't his bedroom anymore - and saw her sitting on the bed with her hand on her belly. She was smiling down at it, the bump very visible while she wore a simple T-shirt and a blanket pooling around her body.
"What is it? Are you okay? Does it hurt?" He furrowed his eyebrows, kneeling on the ground before her and watched a small giggle escape her lips.
She nodded her head, "No," she took his hand, lightly pressing it against her stomach and almost immediately the first thing he felt was a kick. "He's kicking."
They were having a boy.
A smile was spread across Dracos face as he lifted her shirt, pressing his hand against her bare stomach and felt the small kick again. It nearly brought tears to his eyes, because in four months he would have a family. It was already starting to form, everything was falling into place.
He scooted closer on his knees, pressing his lips to her stomach before wrapping his arms around her body. She played with his hair as he kept kissing her stomach, making her giggle and another smile spread across Dracos face.
"Your gonna be an amazing father."
It was moments like those that completely melted his heart. He knew deep down that he wouldn't let anything hurt his son or his girl- he couldn't wait to make her his permanently. He couldn't wait to finally be with her, and spend the rest of his life with her.
Draco was walking hand in hand with Coraline in hogsMeade. They'd just got done eating, and he could tell she was full by the satisfied smile on her face.
She wore some leggings - she didn't fit into jeans anymore - and one of Dracos shirt on her while they walked with their hands laced together. He didn't mind at all that she had to wear leggings, he couldn't care less if she had to he stuck wearing sweatpants all the time.
He was prepared to do this- he had the ring in his pockets and he was mentally preparing himself now. Whether he wanted to turn soft for her or not- he'd already done it and he didn't care anymore.
"Let's sit down, Love." He motioned for her sit down at the edge of a water fountain, people walking past him and watching the two intently.
It was Draco Malfoy for fucks sake.
He watched her as she took a seat, only he didn't. She sat down on the concrete part of the water fountain, the water rising up and it was a really beautiful sight to see near the sunset. Draco gulped harshly as she looked up at him with a weird look on her face.
He slipped down to one knee and reached in his pocket. A small gasp emitted her lips as she realized what he was going to do, and it brought tears to her eyes.
"Coraline," he looked up at her and it caught everyone's attention. "You came into my life at hogwarts and completely changed me. I have no one else to thank for that besides you, and I love you with my whole heart. I've never believed in love at first sight- but seeing you, changed that. You and this baby, mean everything and it would mean the world to me if you would be mine- forever." He opened the box, revealing the ring he purchased five months ago. "Will you marry me?"
By now a tear rolled down her cheek before she nodded her head, "Yes- Yes I will, Draco." Her lips quirked up in a smile that was slightly trembling from being emotional.
He pulled her into a hug, making sure to he extra careful because of her baby bump. She leaned up and kissed him passionately, her lips moving in sync with hers.
He slipped the ring on her finger, pulling away from the kiss. "I'm ready to make you Mrs. Malfoy."
