Brans pov
i think Dannies catching onto the fact that someones hurting me, at least i think he is, he's just constantly bugging me and asking me if somethings wrong but i just push the subject away. I can tell I'm hurting him, me and dannie have never kept secrets since we were kids We've always been open with each other.
But this is one secret i cant tell him, no matter how much it hurts me to see him upset.
"Right bran I've had enough dude, i want to know whats wrong and don't say its nothing because i know somethings up" Dannie asks loudly pulling me from my thoughts.
"Dannie i dont know how many times i have to tell you this im fine, now can you put dunkirk back on i was watching it and Harry's about to come on" i sigh, tearing open another pack of candy.
"No,no nope I'm not taking that as an answer" he says, his voice has a tint of anger to it.
"Dannie can you not tell that i am fine"
"This is insulting dude, Ive known you for so fucking long so I'm sure i can tell when somethings wrong with you" he moans turning of the tv and moving the sweets from me.
Rude.
"Me and jackson can both tell somethings wrong with you, hell even marco messaged me sayin' how worried he is for you and to talk to you" Dannie announces, staring at me sternly. Oh shit this is getting serious.
"Marcos worried about me" i comment surprised. I know Jackson and Dannie are worried about me, but i didn't know Marco is as well.
"Yes bran He's worried about you, now tell me whats wrong, and like i said I'm not taking nothing as an answer" Dannie finishes, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Dannie i-" i begin but pause before i can get any further. I cant tell him about David but i know he wont let it go.
Im sorry Dannie but I'm going to have to lie to you. Please forgive me.
"My Fathers just been getting worse" i lie, well its not really that much if a lie my father is getting slightly more angry everyday. He's hitting me more than he used to as well.
"Shit dude, why didn't you tell me earlier" Dannie curses, resting a reassuring hand on my knee.
"I just didn't want to bother you" i sigh, scratching my neck. Dannies expression shifts slightly for a second to one i cant really understand before shifting back to his concerned one.
"Bean your my best friend, you never bother me at all" Dannie reassures slapping my knee softly.
I hate how he called me bean, its a weird ass nickname he's had for me since we where kids, Ive made a point about how much i hate it so Dannie hardly calls me it anymore thankfully.
"I know i just" i continue, but not being able to think if anything else to say i stop.
"Bran please never keep secrets from me again, its fucking awful" Dannie groans, swiping his hand across his forehead to remove the hair that was starting to dangle in his eyes.
"I wont" i lie, looking down slightly.
"Not good enough dude, you have to pinky promise me" Dannie smiles holding out his pale pinky. Smiling i also reach out my pinky to connect it with his
"No secrets" he says
"No secrets" i respond
Later that day
Dannies pov
"Hes lying, i know he's lying" i rant pacing across Jacksons room while they all stare up at me.
Me, conan,leanne,miles, Devon and marcie all came to Jackson's house to do homework together, we did invite Oliver but he didn't show. We ended up doing homework for about ten minutes but it soon evolved into me ranting about bran with the rest listening intently.
