LISA'S POV

It was the next day since the kiss, and honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about it. The way Jennie kissed me, the way her arms wrapped around me, it kept replaying in my head like a broken record.

My chest would tighten, and my stomach would flip every single time the memory crossed my mind.

I sat at my desk during study hall, unable to focus. My pen kept tapping against the paper, and instead of taking notes like I should've been doing, I decided to write something down. Maybe writing would help me process these confusing feelings.

On a small piece of paper, I scribble.

How to make my heart flutter:
    1.    Hold my hands.
    2.    Hug me tightly.
    3.    Buy one drink with two straws so we could share.

I stared at the list for a long moment and sighed. Why was I even writing this? What was the point? Especially when Jennie was literally in the same room as me, sitting not too far away, acting like nothing had happened between us.

My heart raced as I folded the paper neatly and slid it inside my desk, making sure no one would see it. I didn't even want to risk Jennie catching me writing something this embarrassing.

Shaking my head, I pushed my chair back and left for the restroom, trying to clear my head.

JENNIE'S POV

I had been pretending to be busy with my work, but my eyes kept drifting toward Lisa. She was hunched over her desk, looking so focused and serious, her brows furrowed as her pen danced quickly across the paper.

Curiosity sparked inside me, and I wondered what she could be writing that had her looking so deep in thought.

When Lisa stood up and walked out of the room, I couldn't help myself. My curiosity won. I glanced around, making sure no one was watching, then slipped out of my chair and hurried toward her desk.

My heart thumped loudly in my chest as I carefully pulled out the piece of paper she had just tucked away.

My eyes widened the moment I read it.

How to make my heart flutter:
    1.    Hold my hands.
    2.    Hug me tightly.
    3.    Buy one drink with two straws so we could share.

I gasped quietly, then clutched the paper to my chest. A huge smile spread across my face, and before I knew it, I whispered, "Jackpot!" under my breath like an excited kid who had just won a prize.

This was it, this was my chance. I quickly took a picture of the paper with my phone before carefully sliding it back into her desk exactly how I found it.

Then I hurried back to my seat, pretending like nothing happened, though I could feel my cheeks heating up.

When Lisa walked back in, I immediately picked up my phone and opened the photo, my lips curving into a mischievous smile.

"Okay, Jennie," I thought to myself. "Time to make her heart flutter."

"Lisa!" I called out suddenly, catching her attention. She looked at me curiously.

"Let's go to the amusement park," I said, my voice bubbling with excitement.

Her face lit up instantly, her eyes sparkling as she jumped happily.

"Really?!"

I grinned. "Yes. Let's go."

We drove to the most popular amusement park in the city, and I made sure to buy us both tickets while Lisa looked around in awe.
