CHAPTER 23

2 MONTHS LATER

LISA'S POV

I'M GRADUATING!!!

Jennie drove me to the ceremony, and during the car ride, I couldn't stop shaking. My hands were trembling against my lap, and Jennie kept glancing over at me with a little smile.

"I don't know why I'm so nervous," I muttered, clutching at my dress.

"It's just walking across a stage for like ten seconds." Jennie laughed softly and reached over to squeeze my knee.

"Because it's a big moment, Lili. I'm proud of you."

We finally arrived at the ceremony. I had to go join the other students in line, and I pouted a little, hugging Jennie tightly before I left.

"You've got this," she whispered, kissing my temple. We shared one last soft kiss before going our separate ways.

"Lisa Manoban!" I heard the lady call, and my heart jumped.

I walked across the stage to get my diploma. As soon as I looked up, I saw Jennie in the audience, beaming at me like I was the only person there.

When the graduation was over, Jennie and I left together. Of course, we couldn't just leave quickly, there were students taking pictures of Jennie and even trying to get her number.

But every single day, Jennie reminds me that no matter how many people want her, she only wants me. She always tells me she loves me.

We went out to eat afterward, and that night... well, let's just say things got steamy between us.

4 MONTHS LATER

JENNIE'S POV

I chased Lisa around my office because she was refusing to give me a kiss.

"Come and get it!" she laughed, darting away from me as I reached for her.

I grinned and lunged, finally catching her around the waist and picking her up off the floor.

"Ahhh Jennie! put me down!" she screamed through her laughter.

"Only if you give me my kiss!" I teased, holding her tightly.

"OKAY FINE!" she laughed, and I gently set her back down on her feet.

I tapped my lips expectantly, and she kissed me, but then deepened the kiss on her own, making my heart skip.

We've been dating for six months now, and everything is going so well. Sure, we've had a couple of fights, but we always make up. I've never been this happy before in my life.

We lay down together on my couch, her head resting on my chest, and I played with her hands gently, tracing circles on her fingers.

"Can I keep you?" I whispered.

"Hmmm... yes," she smiled softly, her eyes sparkling.

"I'm happy when I'm with you," I said, brushing my thumb across her cheek.

"I don't know what you've done to me, but I don't regret a single thing you've done. I love you so much, Lili."

"I love you more, my Nini," she replied, making me giggle at the nickname.

We were leaning into another kiss when there was a knock at the door, interrupting our moment.

I groaned in frustration and Lisa got up from me, straightening her clothes.

I opened the door and saw Rosé standing there. I immediately rolled my eyes, she's been acting a little too friendly with Lisa lately, but Lisa insists Rosé is just being a good friend.

"Hey uh... can I talk to Lisa real quick?" Rosé asked, glancing at me.

I nodded stiffly and stepped aside to let her in.

"I want to talk to her alone," she added.

Lisa walked up to me, squeezing my hand softly. "It's fine," she giggled, smiling at me.

She gave my hand a little squeeze before following Rosé out of the office.

LISA'S POV

"So, what do you need, Rosé?" I asked, sitting down in one of the lobby chairs.

"I wanted to tell you something..." she started nervously, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"These past few months with you have been the most amazing time of my life. I like you, Lisa," she confessed, staring at me with hopeful eyes.

"Do you... like me too?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"I'm sorry... but no," I said gently, trying not to hurt her.

"I knew it," she muttered.

"Is it because you're dating Ms. Kim?" My eyes widened.

She gave a little laugh. "It's really obvious."

I smiled faintly, unsure what else to say.

"I guess I should go now," Rosé said, standing up.

I stood up too and hugged her briefly. "Bye," she whispered.

I waved goodbye as she walked away, then turned back to the office.

When I opened the door, Jennie was at her desk pretending to work, but the second she saw me, she ran over and wrapped me in her arms.

"What did Rosé say?" she asked quickly, looking into my eyes.

"She told me she likes me," I said honestly.

"See! I told you! She was flirting with you and you didn't even know!" Jennie yelled dramatically, and I just gave her a kiss to calm her down.

"Do you wanna know why I didn't notice?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

She nodded.

"Because I'm so attached to you, and only you." I winked at her.

Jennie's face softened, and she kissed me passionately.

"I love you, Lili," she whispered.

I giggled softly. "And I love you too, Nini."

"Why are you calling me Nini?" she laughed.

"Because you are so cute, baby," I said, kissing her again and again until she melted into my arms.
