1 YEAR LATER

LISA'S POV

Well... a lot has changed over the past year.

Let's just say Taehyung's mom is now in jail for attempted and threatened murder. Justice finally caught up with her, and honestly, it's a relief not to live in fear of her anymore.

Taehyung and his family are now living in the city with us, happier and free.

He finally reunited with his wife and son, and seeing him smile genuinely again... it makes me realize everything turned out the way it should.

Rosé and Jisoo? They're officially together now, and honestly, those two are inseparable.

They're always laughing, holding hands, and teasing each other, it's adorable, and it makes me so happy to see my best friends in love.

As for me? I'm still working with Jisoo in her company. Life has been steady, calm... but today, everything is about to change. A big change.

"Jennie, where are you taking me?" I laughed, trying to peek past her hands covering my eyes.

"Shhh, it's a surprise, Lili," she giggled, pressing closer behind me as she guided me forward.

We walked for a while, her hands firmly over my eyes, her excitement obvious in her voice.

My heart was racing with curiosity, but also... I just loved hearing her laugh as she teased me.

"Okay," Jennie finally said, her voice soft but trembling with excitement, "I'm going to remove my hands now."

A smile spread on my face. "Okay," I replied eagerly.

She gently lifted her hands away, and I blinked a few times, letting my vision adjust. Then I looked up

And froze.

Standing in front of me was a humongous, stunning house. Big windows, a wide porch, tall gates, it looked like something out of a dream.

I turned around slowly, grinning in disbelief. "What's this?" I laughed, my voice almost squeaking.

"This," Jennie said proudly, dangling a set of shiny keys between her fingers, "is OUR new house."

"Are you serious?!" I gasped, my eyes wide.

She nodded, her smile stretching ear to ear.

"AHHHH!!" I screamed, jumping on her and wrapping my arms tightly around her neck.

I kissed her cheeks over and over, both of us laughing like kids who had just been told we could live in a candy store.

We ran inside, exploring every corner together.

"Wow..." I whispered, spinning around in awe. The ceilings were high, the walls freshly painted, and everything smelled brand new.

We ended up in the backyard, where there was a shimmering pool and a flower garden already planted along the edges.

"If I had a flower every time I thought of you, I would have a garden," Jennie said softly behind me.

I turned back to her, my chest swelling with love. "We're going to have a big, beautiful garden, right?" I asked eagerly.

But when she didn't answer, I frowned and turned fully around.

My heart stopped.

Jennie was down on one knee, holding a small velvet box in her hands. Inside, a sparkling ring glistened in the sunlight.

"Jen..." I sniffed, tears already welling in my eyes.

Her voice trembled as she spoke, but her gaze never left mine. "Lisa, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You're my everything, my life, my forever. I want you and only you, until the day I grow old and even after that. I want you beside me for all of it." Tears slipped down her cheeks, and I couldn't stop mine either.

"Lisa Manoban... will you marry me?"

She smiled through her tears, and I nodded rapidly, laughing and crying at the same time.

"Yes! Yes!" I shouted.

Jennie jumped up like a kid, bouncing around in excitement before sliding the ring onto my finger.

Then she hugged me so tightly I thought I might never breathe again, but I didn't care, I didn't want to.

"I love you, Nini," I whispered against her ear.

"I love you too, Lili," she whispered back with the softest smile.

We eventually stumbled back into the living room, still holding onto each other like we were afraid to let go.

We collapsed onto the couch, and Jennie rested her head on my shoulder.

After a long silence, she looked up at me with a shy grin. "What do you think about kids?"

I giggled. "You just proposed, and now we're talking about kids?" I laughed, shaking my head.

She groaned dramatically. "I'm serious! I like kids... I want a family together." She kissed my lips sweetly, making me giggle again.

"Great," I said, poking her nose. "But you're carrying them."

She rolled her eyes. "Of course you'd say that."

I leaned back, smiling mischievously. "How about... one girl and one boy?"

Jennie shrugged with a dreamy look in her eyes. "I don't care. As long as I'm with you, I'm happy."

And in that moment, sitting in our brand-new house with a ring on my finger and her warmth pressed against me, I believed her.

Because I was happy too.

Happier than I had ever been.
